Lana and Kevin meet at Starbucks
"Hey, Kevin who is that guy?"
"Oh, he is my friend Mateo Andrade IV why?"
"Nothing, he just caught my attention."
"Oh, he got your attention huh? so what now?" he said teasingly
"Nothing."
She was quiet as she thought about it. "His face look so familiar to me."
Kevin go to the counter and take our order. I take the table beside the window, I saw him having conversation with Mateo.
"Hey, Kevin who's that girl."
"Oh, why do you ask? she's my friend her name is Lana."
"Oh, I see."
"Why?"
"Nothing, I just saw you when I park my car that's why."
"I see, so you are not interested in her?"
"I'm interested but I have ways george! I just add her on my facebook account. I hope she will accept my requests" He answered confidently
"I bet she will accept your requests."
"She will, just trust me george, by the way I have a table for us you and your friend can sit with me if you want too."
"No george, Lana found us a table."
I opened my Facebook account, and I saw in my notification Mateo requests as a friend. His message pop out on my phone screen.
"Hi, can you please accept my request? :)"
"Okay."
"Thank you so much, Lana."
"Okay."
Lana's POV
I don't know want to reply. I just don't know if I can entertain a man like him, he seems a player to me.
Mateo texted Kevin.
"Lana seems problematic."
"She is George."
Lana's typing on messenger using her phone.
"Hi, sorry I'm not interested."
"It's fine I expected you're not but I want us to be friends."
"So, hi again, I'm Mateo :)"
"Hello Mateo, I'm Lana."
"Lana, can you stop using your phone."
"Alright, Kevin." She put her phone inside her purse.
"So what your plan now?"
"Nothing I just want to go travel, baka sakaling makalimot na ako ng todo."
"Okay let's set our hiking next week Monday to Wednesday."
"I would love to because in June I have to find a job again, I have 5 months to settle myself again, I hope that's enough."
"It will just trust me, Ian and I is here for you always."
"Thank you, Kevin."
"Since childhood we are friends, you are like my little sister."
"Excuse me, little sister, we're at the same age."
"HAHAHA! just kidding, we're best friends like our parents, friends always love at all times."
"Indeed, so how are you and Trish?"
"Next topic please, who is talking to you on the phone?"
"It's Mateo he added me on my Facebook account, he messages me to accept him so I did."
"I can guarantee you that a friend of mine, is a good man."
"You said 10 years ago, Joash is a good man."
"He is, hindi lang natin inaasahan na magagawa niya yon."
I know she's still thinking about Joash, but I have to be with her because I care so much about her. She's like a sister to me. I can't talk about Trish, because she's cheated on me. Hindi ko pwede sabayan mag drama si Lana dahil mas matindi yung pinag dadaanan niya. I need to be strong and cope in many ways as possible. Even if it hurts me so bad, I have to move on. I have to.
