Strategies pt 2

James
I watched Veronica as she sauntered in, wearing a crop top and yoga pants. Her hair was in a pony tail.
Damn. My wolf thought the moon goddess couldnt have picked out a more perfect mate.
Again, she is human,I pointed out. So she is flawed. Once she accepts us, your bite will awaken her wolf.
I mentally rolled my eyes at him. He was acting like a love sick puppy.
"Where is the map?" Veronica asked, clearley annoyed.
"Good morning to you too." I retort. She rolls her eyes as I lead her to the world map in my office closet. I mind link John, Alex and Ashleign, my main enforces and tell them to come to my office for a metting. A few minutes later they come in. John looks unfazed by Veronica's presence where as Alex looks annoyed.
"Why is she here?" He barked at me.
I snapped back, letting my alpha power radiate off of me
"She is here to help with the vampire problem. And she is my mate. You would have known if you didnt spend all your time in one of the pack sluts."
Alex looked furious, his eyes shifting colors to yellow.
"I know you're not talking!! You were just with Tamara last night. Then want to clean up when you find your mate. Dont act like you're innocent."
I grab him by his neck and hold him two inches off the ground.
" How dare you disrespect your Alpha like that?!" I threw him down and motioned for the guards to take him away. My wolf wanted to kill him.
"Anyone else want to question my authority?" I yell.
John and Ashleign cringe and look at the floor.
"Good." I turn to the map and mark where the nearby nests are that we know of.
"There are the nests we know of. We have taken out these two." I mark the map with a green marker. Veronica pipes up.
"These are the ones I have taken out, and these are the other ones I have found." She marks four of them with a blue marker, and at least four more with a yellow marker.
I looked at her impressed.
"Not to be rude, but how do we know you have taken out these many?" Ashleign asks.
" Dont bealieve me? Have your Alpha"she spat my name"send someone to go look."
"Actually Ashleigh is right. You are just one human." Veronica sits down and sighs.
"It wasnt just me hunting originally. My boyfriend andI were hunting after they took my family. I learned everything I knew from him. And then they took him as well."
Ashleigh looked sympathetic, and John was just plain emotionless, which meant he was definatley thinking something and would ask me later.
"More vampire fledgelings have been poping up with this symbol." I showed her the picture of a dead vamp. She shook her head.
"I have no idea whose mark that is, but it has to be one of the leaders of the Covens." I nodded.
"So when is the next hunt. I want to see her skills." John said simply.
"We will hunt this one" I pointed at one of her yellow marks. "We will send scouts today, and if all is well , we attack." Everyone nodded in agreement. Except Veronica, of course.
" Since I will be staying here for a while, I am going to go home and pack some stuff." She got up and I grabbed her arm. Stryker, my wolf, and I got heated.
"I am your Alpha, you will not adress me in that tone. You will ask."
She laughed harshley.

Veronica
"Oh really mister Almighty Alpha" i said mockingly. "You forget I came here to help you. And I am not a wolf, so your Alpha sway holds no sway over me." I snatched my arm from his grip. His eyes turned gold and he growled.
" For now, Kitten" this voice was deeper and darker than his voice normally was, and he had a sinister smile. "Once you accept us, we will mark and mate you. You will be mine in every sense of the word." He threw me into the chair, and leaned into me.
"I will have you Kitten."
Ashleign caughed akwardly. He looked at her and I was a afraide for her life
"Alpha, may I suggest that I take her back to get her stuff? That way she is guaranteed to come back, and she will be protected. You can stay here and manage the hunts."
He closed his eyes and when he opened them again, they were brown.
"Ok. But I swear on the moon, if something happens you will not live to meet your mate. Ashleign barked out a yes Alpha and led me to my car. We got in and I started driving to my house. When I got there we went in the house. I packed a bag of clothes, my toiletries, and as I was packing a bag full of weapons I sighed. I would miss the place.
"He isnt so bad"Ashleign started." He is just prideful. He has been looking for his mate for a very long time. He lost hope, then you showed up. He just doesnt want to lose you." I sneared.
"Right because he has been so gracious to me. Bullshit. I would rather have not been fated to a wolf."
She sighed.
" You know besides the shifting, we are human too."
I let that hang in the air as she followed me to my car. Yeah watever.
That night was filled with nightmares, and then they were gone in a flash.
I wake up in the middle of the night crying. He rustles on the floor and climbs into bed. I push him away, but he just pulls me into his arms and holds me to his chest. I feel every piece of me breaking. I dreamt of the vampires takeing my boyfriend. It hurt and the more I cried the more I broke. He just ran his fingures thru my hair.
"Wanna talk about it Kitten?"
I sniffle.
"I just had a nightmare. It was when they took my boyfriend from me. There was so much blood." I cry harder and he tucks me closer to him. He lays down with me in his arms, cuddeling me. And for once I dont resist.
It has been a few days of me being here. The hunts have been going great and as much as his beta hates to admit it, I belong here. I have tried to push James away, but with every touch, every smile, every laugh he has been breaking the walls down little by little. I am starting to love him and I hate it.
"Hello." I look around wide eyed and hear a giggle.
Im in your head silly."
"Get out of my" head I growl
"Watch it, girl. I am your wolf and I am older then you. My name is Sabhine."
"I cant have a wolf "i shout "i am human."
"For now" she purrs in my head
"What?" I am shocked
"You are mated to an Alpha. Once you accept him he will mark and mate you" she purrs at all the delicious things he would do to us. "And once he marks you, you will shitft." I shivered at the thought and stepped in the shower. I let the hot water roll off of me, making all my muscles relax. I quickly wash my body and hair. I step out and wrap a towel around my body, and one in my hear. I curse as I realize I forgot to grab some clothes.
Thankfully, when I peer out of the bathroom door, James is gone out of the room. Sabhine whines in my head and I shush her. After getting dressed I step out of the room, wanting to explore.
