The Trial

   As I lay in his arms under the cover I listen to his steady breathing, then turn so I am facing him. I trace his face with my index finger. I have no clue how I ended up with such a wonderful mate, especially considering the fact that I originally wanted to kill off the pack. Its funny hpw things work out considering I am now one of them. Not just one of them but the Luna of the pack. I kiss his forehead, and he lazily opens his eyes.
"Morning." I murmer.
He gives me a crooked smile that makes my heart skip a beat. He kisses me with such intensity I am instantly aroused. He flips me under him and makes love to me, making me scream his name.
As we cuddle, enjoying the after sex glow, I think about how I am going to approach him in orfer to get Ashleign and Zeke out of that prison. Apparently I was deep in thought because he asked me if I was ok.
"Yeah I am fine. I was just thinking about Ahleign and Zeke."
He sighed and sat up, rakeing a hand through his hair.
"I know. I can't keep them locked up forever." I nod and move towards him, wrapping my arms around him.
"She fineally found her mate, James. You know how it feels to have to think you never will find your mate and then fineally finding her." I rub his back as he lets out a deep sigh.
" I will give him one chance to prove me wring. I have to push into his mind to see if he will betray us."
I nod and kiss him.
He sighs and gives me a cheeky grin.
"Wanna take a shower with me?"
I blush and nod. He chuckles and leads me into the bathroom.
  After some amazing sex and washing off, he got dressed.
"I will bring them from the dungeon."
I said, pulling a shirt over my head.
"Do you think the guards will listen to you?"
I gave him a side ways look.
" They better. I am their Luna."
He grinned and swole with pride at my words. He pulled me into his arms and buried his face in my hair.
"And what a Luna you will make." I kissed him and shooed him away and headed down to the prison.
"Take me to Ashleign's cell." I said to the guard. He looked at me sideways.
"On what order."
I puffed up in anmoiance.
" I am your Luna now." I pointed to my mark
"Oh." He shrugged and led me to the cell.
"Let them out. I am to take them to Alpha James."
The guard let them out, still chained together. Ashleign nearly jumped in my arms.
"Cmon. James wants to test Zeke." Zeke looked intrigued and as I opened the door to James' office he had a hard set jaw. He uncuffed them on the condition that they not try to run.
I saw James put his hands on Zeke's temples and I watched with intrigue as Zeke's eyes rooled into the back of his head as well as James'.
After what seemed like forever, theur eyes snapped back and I saw Ashleign fidget nervously. I put a hand on her shoulder to reassure her, as we waited for James's verdict.

James
I was disappointed that I didn't see a single piece of betrayel in his mind. He was genuine and held disgust toward his own kind. He was even happy, if a bit surprised he was a mate to a wolf. I sighed and sat in my chair.
"He is telling the truth.' Everyone visably relaxed. "He will help us. Good. I recently found out there is a spy anong us."
They looked surprised.
"Ashleign, he may be your mate but I do not want him in the pack house. You may move into one of the outskirtting cabins on the territory. Zeke, you may stay on the territory, under the condition that you report every whisper of what the vampires are doing."
Zeke nodded at me. "I will. Thank you."  He said in an Irish accent.
"You may pack your things now." Ashelign squeeled in delight and dragged Zeke out of the room. I sighed and put my head in my hands. This was good I assured myself. I fealt Veronica come over to me and rub my shoulders. I smiled at her and she rubbed the crease in between my eyebrows.
"You shouldn't frown. It will give you wrinkles." I chuckle at her and pull her into my lap, burrying my head in her hair. I took a deep breath and let her scent sooth me my nerves.
"Whats wrong?" She asked.
"I don't like having a vampire on my land." She sighed.
" Yeah but he is her mate. You would hurt her by keeping them apart."
"I know but it makes me uneasy."
"But you saw in his mind he won't do anything stupid."
I nod in her hair.
" Why don't you run along and help Ashleign pack? Then we can practice shifting." She groaned.
"I don't like shifting. It hurts." She whined. Part of me went out to her. I remember my first shift. It was excruciating, but it had to be done.
" I know love but as the Luna, you have to be able to protect the pack."
She pouted and then said
" I could have sworn we only shift on the full moon. You guys should be so much more animalistic."
I let out a growl and tackled her, while shiggled at me. I kissed her intensely. Almost takeing her right there on my desk. But as much as I would love to, I had to figure out who the spy was. I sighed and pulled away.
" Go help her pack up. I will be back for dinner." She nodded and kissed my cheek and as I watched her walk off, I couldnt help but admire the little switch she had got since she first shifted.
