Chapter 1:

        Meeting The Salvatore

Liza stared from a far the ocean that is calm. The air stroked her skin in a soothing way. She left her friends and her conveyance along with the memories of her parents' that were intact in her mind along with her mother's last regards.

'Go to this address,' she said as she passed the envelop to my hand. 'Look for Christine Salvatore and give the envelop to her,' she paused and coughed. She could hardly breathe. 'I’m sorry I can't look after you anymore. Your father must be disappointed right now. We won't be able to give you your special eighteenth birthday party.' What she said made me shook my head. They've given  me everything I needed; comfort and love. They shared many things with me. I couldn't ask for more. She shouldn't be sorry. But what she said next broke me in tears. 'Always remember that we love you, Liza.'

Her last words were still engraved in her mind, her pale face, her thin frame and the pain in her eyes. She can still remember it like it just happened yesterday. But it has been a month after the tragedies that happened and now with a broken heart Liza hits the road to go where she thinks she could find Christine Salvatore.

Before Liza left to for her own journey, she asked her best friend Michael to look aft her house while she's gone. She swore to him that she'll come back to live in her old house after she sorts all the things she need to do.

After days of travel, Liza finally found the address where her mom wanted her to go and she couldn't believe what she's seeing before her. She read the address that is written on the paper a couple of times checkin' each word that are written neatly on the paper thinkin' she must have read it wrong but every information she read are right.

A modern two-storey house layed before her eyes and she couldn't believe that her mom wanted her to go here. She can even have a glimpse of a pool inside the vacinity. Swallowing the lump in her throat she hesitantly pressed the buzzer. She stared up the starry night then she took out her pocket watch from her jacket pocket. The watch that was originally from her father's and was passed down to her when she turned thirteen. She read the time, it was passed 7 o'clock and no one was responding from the inside of the house.

Liza debated to leave or to stay in front of the gate until the owner of the house decided to get out. She choosed the lather for she doesn’t have a choice anyway 'cause she already have spend all of her money. She just wish that this Christine Salvatore would be kind enough to let her stay or to help her to get back to where she came from after she finished her business on this trip. Liza braced herself as the cold breeze hits her bare skin.

Just as she was about to ring the buzzer again a silver colored car stop next to where she was. The window of the car slowly went down to reveal a beautiful lady sitting in the driver's seat.

''Can I help you?'' Ask the lady in her soothing voice.

''Ahmm...hi,'' Liza greeted as she neared the lady. ''I was lookin' for Christine Salvatore and I believe that this house is where she was stayin','' I motioned to the enveloped at my hands while the lady nods in understanding. ''Could you get me to her 'cause I have some matters to tell her?'' I asked politely.

''Well, my dear I am the one who lived in that house.'' The lady blurted out. ''I'm Christine Salvatore.''
