Ch. 8

I decided to get ready for my date with Matt. Yeah, an actual date not just hanging out anymore. I got ready and wore some black high wasted jeans and a white crop top. I slipped on my black combat boots and chilled downstairs checking my Instagram and twitter feed while waiting for Matt.

At 7pm Matt picked me up for our movie date.
"Hello Matthew" I said.
"Since when do you call me Matthew?? It's matt." He said laughing.
"Shut up I was trying to be cute okay?!"
"No you shut up your already cute okay?!" Matt said grabbing me and hugging me.

We then left my house for the movies, there wasn't much out that we both wanted to see. But the fault in our stars was out and I've already seen it 3 times but I love it.
"There's like nothing to see here." I told him.
"Yeah I guess we should've looked online."
"But look there's the fault in our stars! You did say you liked the book" I begged him.
"Fine your right." He smiled.

We bought our tickets and walked to the movie. Matt got popcorn but I hated popcorn so I got nachos instead.
As soon as we walked into the movie I saw Maddie, Jack, Johnny and Chelsea. They were like in the popular group just like Matt. Matts best friend was Johnny but he'd hang out with all of them. Matt didn't seem to notice them but I did.

We sat at the top for more privacy and a few rows down I saw Chelsea look up and then whisper something to Maddie. Oh crap. They all turned around and looked up at us.
"Matt" I whispered. He wasn't really paying that much attention he was on his phone.
"Matt!!"
"Yeah? Oh cra-" he was cut off by Johnny and Maddie walking up to us.

"Soo what are you two doing here, together??" Maddie questioned.
"Is it a date?!" Johnny asked.
"Who even is she??" Maddie said.
It started to get really hot and I was just really quiet. Matt looked at me but I didn't know what to do.
"Hello you?!? Whatever your name is, you nobody." Maddie said.
I just got up and walked away. I couldn't do this I don't like being called a nobody or anything. Plus I don't want them to know anything about me and matts relationship.

"Wait jade!!" Matt yelled after me.
Johnny pulled him back from coming after me "who is she? Are you dating?"
"Johnny it's none or your business!"
"Matt come on I am your bestfriend!" Johnny said.
"Yeah maybe, but Maddie or your girlfriend, whatever she is doesn't need to be here."Matt said
"I'll tell you later when it's just us, but I need to go find jade." Matt ran out the doors.

I sat there in the girls bathroom doing nothing, just wanting to be left alone. I thought about everything everyone has ever said to me. A tear escaped my eyes. I can't do this to myself. Matt ran into the girls bathroom and saw me sitting there tears running down my face. "Jade please don't." Matt said.
"Why not matt?!? Who even cares?! No one cares!!" I said tears pouring out of my eyes. Matt put his arms around me and played with my hair. "It's okay. I care!! I care jade!! A lot!! Don't listen to them, they think their so special but their not. You are." Matt said pulling the hair out of my face.

"I don't know...I don't want to ruin your friendship with your friends." I told him.
"Your as important as them too me. If they don't like you then I don't like them." He told me.
"Matt come on don't leave your friends for me."
"Why not? Your perfect, amazing, beautiful, funny. Your special and I love you."
"I love you too matt" I smiled looking up at his big brown eyes.
"So what do ya say let's get off the floor of the girls bathroom?" He said laughing.

He helped me up and I told him just to drop me off. We arrived at my house. I didn't want him to come in because I wasn't in the mood. He helped me out of the car and hugged me so tight.
"Remember I'm always here for you, I do love you." He said and kissed my forehead.
"I know matt." I forced a fake smile.
He grabbed my waist closer to him and whispered "Jade Sofia Thompson, I am in love with you." Then kissed my lips hard.
