the two soon-to-be college students were on their way to the airport.

both of them were pretending that they weren't leaving each other in less than thirty minutes.

"baby, you're g-gonna be so un-uncomfortable on the plane in that ou-outfit." calum said, looking at his boyfriends outfit.

"at least i won't have to change when i get there." the blond replied, grinning.

calum rolled his eyes fondly at his love.

"l-lazy." he said.

"call it what you wanna, cally." luke said sweetly and put his head on calums shoulder.

the car was silent after that.

there was a small tension but everyone chose to ignore that as well.

joy broke the silence in the car.

"we're here boys." she said, trying to be cheerful, but as she glanced at the sad faces from the boys in the backseat she couldn't be.

joy, liz, calum and luke began to unload the luggage from the trunk in silence.

lukes eyes were watering even though he wouldn't admit it and calum felt mute at that moment.

they walked into the airport and got calum and luke ready to board their separate flights.

the flight wasn't for another thirty minutes so all of them sat down in the uncomfortable plastic chairs.

luke sat on calums lap instead of a chair because he wanted to spend the rest of their time together as close as they could get.

for a few minutes the feminine boy watched youtube videos on his phone with calum looking over his shoulder.

liz and joy took pictures of the cute couple from afar.

they too were going to be sad about their only children leaving them.

even though they were sad as well, they let the two lovers spend their time together, choosing to wait until the goodbyes.

luke felt eyes on him and he turned to his beloved mother.

she smiled at him and he smiled back sadly.

he paused the video that he was watching and turned to his love.

"don't you think we should go talk with our moms... they're sad too." he said quietly.

calum looked at his mom and saw that her eyes were slightly glazed over with tears.

he looked back at the beautiful boy in his lap with a sad smile.

"y-yeah, lukey. l-let's go." he answered.

the two got up from their shared chair and walked over to their respective mothers.

without saying anything they began to indulge in conversations.

for the next thirty minutes the nineteen year olds talked to their mothers like they were twelve again.
