Third Person’s Pov

It was a bright sunny day in Mystic Falls. Everyone had met up at the Boarding House ready to leave for their trip to the beach.  Everyone piled into their cars and drove off to Mystic Falls beach ready to enjoy the sun.

“What do you think of my new Victoria’s secret bikini?” Caroline smiled at a bored looking Victoria. “Is alright, not the best though” Elena rolled her bright brown eyes in annoyance.

“Come one! This is the only day we are going to get to enjoy the sun without being caught in the supernatural drama. We should enjoy ourselves and soak up every sec-” Before Elena could finish off her sentence, Victoria sat up abruptly cutting her off.

“Wait something’s not right…I don’t want to be here” Victoria took off her round, big glasses that were protecting her eyes from the sun.

“What is wrong with you? Don’t you want to be with you’re friends? Have fun, eat ice-cream, you know the drill” Damon walked up behind Elena.

Victoria rolled her eyes “What is this?” she asked in annoyance as she looked around the beach to see that everyone including her sister and friends had disappeared.

“Were not really here, are we? Where in my head.” Victoria sat straighter in her beach chair glaring at Damon who held his arms up in the air.

“Relax I just wanted to show you all the things that you’ve been missing out on since you’ve taken the giant leap over the cuckoo’s nest” Victoria took of her hat and threw it to the ground as she stood up.

“The last thing I remember…” Victoria trailed off, not finishing her sentence, Damon interrupted her. “Katherine dying, you smothering her with a pillow and Stefan drugging you. It was a good thing that both myself and Stefan were there to help you.”

Victoria looked down at her feet and then looked back at Damon “You starved me. You and Stefa-” before she could finish off what she was saying, Damon interrupted her.

“Yeah, well, we had to keep you weak so I could bring you here. See, the way I figure it is, if I can make you nostalgic, then you're already halfway to getting your humanity back.” Victoria rolled her eyes at Damon shaking her head.

“It's not going to work, Damon.” Damon signed and walked a few steps until he was eye to eye with Victoria.

“Well, there are other ways to provoke an emotional response.” Damon whispered.

Damon’s Pov

I turn around and look at Stefan who walks up behind me.

“You still have her locked in the safe? You've been in her head for an hour. What, still nothing?” Stefan asked, I kept my mouth shut and walked over to the safe.

“How you doing in there?” I unlocked the safe and open the door. Victoria is inside, weak and apparently barely unconscious; rolling my eyes I grab her hand.

“Come on.” I pull Victoria out who falls to the ground; I crouch down in front of her.

“Is the old you ready to come out and play?” I asked, looking at Victoria’s pale face.

It hurt me doing this to her, it hurt me so damn much…

“Go to hell.” Victoria growled at me, which makes me smile tightly.

“Okay. Back you go.” I grab Victoria’s hand and push her back inside the safe and lock it.

“We can do this the nice way, or we can do it the other way... but either way, we're not stopping until you turn your humanity switch back on. So I'm going to let you think about that, and I'm going to come back for you in a couple hours, or a couple years... because all we have is time.” I spoke sarcastically and patted the safe before turning around to look at a silent observing Stefan who looked troubled.
