Special Interrogation - Taehyung

Taehyung sits at the table, his eyebrows furrowed slightly as he looks down at his fidgeting leg. The door opens, revealing Detective Kim. Taehyung nods his head, a sign of acknowledgement. The detective sits in front of Taehyung, pulling out his trusty notepad and pen.

"Hello Mr. Kim, my name is Detective Kim, and I'm in charge of your sister's case."

Taehyung nods his head, and the detective continues.

"Anyway, I've learned that Y/N and you used to be in a 'gang'. Would you care to tell me about it?"

Taehyung clears his throat. "Uh, yeah, sure. Back when we were in high school, we ended up both joining this gang. It wasn't even really a gang, as it was just a bunch of high schoolers and people in college, but that's what we called it. They held these 'meetings' almost everyday, which were pretty much just parties. We would get drunk, and some people would do drugs. I never did drugs though, as that's how I lost my dad. He died from a cocaine overdose."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Mr. Kim."

Taehyung purses his lips. "Please don't call me that, that's what people used to call my dad. Just call me Taehyung instead."

"Of course, my apologies. Please, continue with the story."

"After my mom married her dad, I quit the gang, but Y/N didn't. We all moved into the same house, and I would notice that Y/N would sneak out in the middle of the night and come back extremely early in the morning either drunk, high, or both. Sometimes she would even come home crying. She started to become distant, and I could see her dad getting confused and sad, so I stepped in and had a heart-to-heart conversation with her. I eventually convinced her to quit the gang, and to make to sure that she actually did quit, I went with her to the last meeting and told them myself that she was leaving."

"How did they react to that?" Detective Kim questions.

"They weren't happy, that's for sure. It was the same reaction I got when I told them that I was leaving the gang. But the thing is, Y/N was the only girl in the gang, and I...I had an idea what they were doing to her. She never admitted to it, but I could see it in her eyes - she was afraid of those guys, because of things they did to her."

"You mean..." Detective Kim trails off.

Taehyung nods his head. "Yeah, they raped her - multiple times. I wanted to kill those bastards, but Y/N held me back from doing so. I wanted to call the cops, but Y/N wouldn't let me. She told me that she just wanted to forget about all of it. I decided that I shouldn't object, since she was on the verge of having a breakdown. We went on with life, and Y/N became better - she quit drinking, she didn't do the drugs anymore, and she seemed genuinely happy. Until a couple of months ago, then I noticed her becoming distant again."

"Do you know why?" The detective asks him.

"No, she wouldn't tell me. But being the good older stepbrother I am, I went over to her apartment to visit her. I thought that she wasn't home, so I got out my spare key and let myself inside. Well, I went to put my key in, but I noticed the door open. I went in, expecting that she had accidentally just left it unlocked. I was shocked when I saw her making out with this guy on her couch."

"Who was the guy? Do you know his name?"

Taehyung purses his lips as he thinks. "I've seen him a lot, but I know it wasn't her boyfriend. He works at a bookstore, he's a little younger than me, and I know that he's one of the suspects for Y/N's case."

"Jeon Jungkook?"

"Yeah, that's him. He might be trying to make himself look innocent, but he's not. That Jungkook guy was apart of the gang too, and I'm pretty he's still in it."

The detective nods his head as he writes down the information on his notepad. He stands up from his chair, smoothing down his shirt.

"Thank you Taehyung, that is all for now."

Information Gathered

Y/N and Kim Taehyung were both in a gang, but Taehyung left before Y/N did. Y/N used to drink and do drugs while in the gang.

Kim Taehyung convinced Y/N to leave the gang. He found out that she was being raped by the members, but Y/N wouldn't let him turn them into the police.

Kim Taehyung decided to visit Y/N at her apartment, only to find her making out on her couch with Jeon Jungkook, who is still an active member of the gang.
