Detective Discussion

Detective Kim enters the room full of the other detectives and police officers helping on the case. He sits down at the head of the table, pulling out his notepad.

"Okay, so let's review what we have so far, shall we?" Detective Kim asks.

Everyone nods, and one of the detectives starts to speak.

"First suspect - Kim Namjoon: twenty-four years old, works as a cashier at a gas station, close friend of the victim's, met her three years ago, used to have feelings for the victim, saw the victim the day she was killed. He doesn't know why anyone would have wanted the victim dead, but he is suspicious of the boyfriend and the ex-boyfriend." States Detective Moon.

"But he couldn't be the killer, he was at work while it happened. We checked the time sheets and the security cameras, he didn't leave his place until we called him in for questioning," Officer Yoo adds in.

"Okay, so my son-I mean, Kim Namjoon is not the killer. Alright, next suspect," Detective Kim says.

"Second suspect - Kim Seokjin: twenty-five years old, works at a restaurant, is a friend of the victim's, met her two years ago, said he was at home with his mother at the time of the murder, said he had a girlfriend and that he didn't have feelings but later revealed that he did actually have a crush on the victim, saw the victim the night before the murder. He said that Y/N isn't the most stable person, and indirectly said that he is suspicious of the ex-boyfriend."

"His mother said that he was home all day until we called him in for questioning. Then again, she could just be covering for her son," Detective Lee says.

"His car didn't go through any tollways, which he would have had to go through to get into town. The cameras would've picked up the license plate, but we didn't see his car until around the time we had called him in for questioning," Officer Bae adds.

Detective Kim nods his head. "Kim Seokjin has an alibi, so we'll rule him out for now. Next one."

"Third suspect - Min Yoongi: twenty-five years old, works at an arcade inside of the mall, has known the victim for about five years, victim's ex-boyfriend, said he was at the movies with the victim's current boyfriend at the time of the murder, victim broke up with him about three months ago, and he saw her a couple of days before her murder, but spoke to her on the phone a few minutes before she died. He said that he doesn't know why anyone would want to kill someone, then said that he was sure that the victim wasn't everyone's favorite person. He is suspicious of the victim's best friend and the victim's older stepbrother."

"Ooh, the ex-boyfriend. In most cases I've done that's like this, it's usually the ex. We shouldn't cross him off of our list yet," Detective Moon says.

"What time did their movie start?" Officer Yoo asks.

"1:50. The theater they went to was only a seven minute drive from the victim's apartment, so he could've went to the movies after he killed her," Officer Bae replies.

"That's if he killed her. We're forgetting that boyfriends are also the main murderers in these types of cases as well. And he went to the movie with the boyfriend - what if they teamed up together?" Detective Lee asks, raising her eyebrow.

Everyone murmurs to one another. Detective Kim clears his throat, gaining everyone's attention.

"Now's not the time to be pointing fingers, we're reviewing the information we've gathered so later we can point fingers. Next suspect."
