Oops?

Twins? :

"Minseo! Are you excited to see your siblings?" Namjoon asks his daughter as they drive to the appointment. Seokjin was further along now, close to his five month mark, and was showing like he was only carrying one.

The last time they were at their doctor's, the doctor made the comment that one of the twin's heartbeats were a little weak and advised Seokjin to take it easy. He listened, and now they're going to see them again to see if they're any better. They walk in to the clinic and check in, Namjoon holding Minseo on his hip as Seokjin signed himself in then went to sit down.

He was nervous, he's worried the babies aren't going to make it and even though Namjoon kept reassuring him that everything will be okay, he's not convinced. Minseo was on Namjoon's lap, she seen him and reaches for him, "Din!"

"What pretty girl?" He takes her in his arms, she hugs his bump and places a kiss on it. He pouts, "Aw that's so sweet baby, thank you."

"Your daughter is adorable," a lady next to them with her own baby bump on display, says to Seokjin.

"Thank you," Namjoon smiles, Seokjin poking one of his dimples and Minseo's own dimples pop out as she grins at Seokjin.

"Absolutely adorable," she smiles, the nurse calls a name and she stands, entering behind the door for her own appointment.

Another nurse enters the room after she gets taken back, "Kim Seokjin?"

Seokjin lets Namjoon take Minseo, then he stands on his own. Minseo babbles curry as they follow the nurse, which makes the nurse smile, "Namjoon this is Minseo right?"

"Yes this is her," he smiles proudly, "Turned a year old in October."

"She's gotten so big," she smiles, letting Minseo take her hand and letting her chew on it, "Oh! And she's got a few teeth already!"

"Mini, what did mommy say about biting," Namjoon scolds his daughter, making her release the nurse's finger.

"No it's fine, I've felt worse pain," She chuckles and begins their session. She first asks Seokjin questions, taking down notes of the symptoms he's having and giving him suggestions. Finally, she pulls out the pager and nods, "Alright, your doctor will be right in to do the ultrasound."

She leaves after they both say thank you, Minseo babbling and playing with the ring on Seokjin's finger. She blows raspberries turning to pat his belly gently, "Baby."

"Yep, there are two babies in there!" Namjoon replies, he was happy she was taking the news of being a big sister well.

"I hope so," Seokjin mumbles, missing the look Namjoon gave him and before he can say anything the doctor steps in.

"Hello," he bows politely, "I'm Dr. Shang, Dr. Lee couldn't make it today so she sent me to take care of you both today," he chuckles, "Alright, let's get this ultrasound done."

Seokjin follows instructions and once he's on the bed, shirt up and pants just a little bit below his hips, the doctor applies the cold gel to his stomach. Then the moment of truth. He places the Doppler wand on his belly, turning on the machine and moving it around slowly. The doctor hums, "Strange, your chart says your pregnant with twins... yet I don't see the other twin."

Seokjin's heart drops as the doctor searches some more before shaking his head, "This happens a lot, usually people when they're pregnant with twins, one twin is weaker than the other and the stronger twin... absorbs it?"

Seokjin's eyes water, "So there's only one baby now?"

"Yes, I'm sorry this is probably a huge burden. But this happens naturally. We don't know what causes the twins to absorb their sibling, but it happens. On the bright side, the one baby you have now is perfectly healthy, has a strong heartbeat, and I also happen to take a peek and seen the gender."

Seokjin perks up at that, "Can we see?"

He nods, putting more gel on Seokjin's stomach. He applies the Doppler and moves back into position, seeing the baby perfectly and pointing to his legs, "You see this right there? That's not a third leg."

Namjoon's eyes widen, "It's a boy!?"

"Congratulations, you're having a boy," the doctor chuckles, taking pictures and going to grab them for the parents.

"You hear that Mini," Seokjin smiles, "You're going to have a brother!"

"Oh wow," Yoongi says in shock, holding the photo Namjoon gave him, "You're having a boy? And there's only one?"

"Yeah, doc said that usually when one twin is weaker than the other, the stronger twin absorbs it. It's naturally caused, Seokjin didn't do anything to cause it even though he thinks he did."

"He needs your support," Yoongi looks back to see Minseo throwing a toy and then getting up to run for it.

"I know, so when are you having another kid?" Namjoon asks, leaning against the door way.

"Not until Minseo is at least two or three," Yoongi snorts, "I wouldn't want to outshine you and Seokjin's bundle of joy."

"Come on now," Namjoon rolls his eyes, "We need to get over our differences. What do you say me and you go see a movie? Like we used to?"

"I think Jooheon will kill you if we did," Yoongi arches his eyebrow.

"Not as a date dick head, just like hanging out like we used to."

Yoongi shrugs, "I hadn't been to see a movie in a while.... going would be fun."

"Awesome, just text me and let me know when you make up your mind. I need to get home and help Seokjin around the house, oh," he points to Minseo, "You might want to baby proof the house now. She tried to play in the toilet yesterday and luckily I caught her before she can figure out how to get the lid up."

Yoongi makes a face, "Gee, thanks."

Whoo hoo!! Double update!!

This actually happens a lot to people who are expecting twins or other multiples at first. The strong twin, like the doctor explained to Namjoon and Seokjin, will absorb the weaker twin. Basically, it's not strong enough to live so the mothers body absorbs it or the other twin absorbs it. This isn't with just twins, this can happen with all multiples. It's called the Vanishing Twin Syndrome.

They label it as a miscarriage so I guess Seokjin technically had miscarried one baby.

Halloween movie was awesome, a lot better than I expected but still had that cliché horror movie script. Speaking of, for Halloween this year I'm posting a one shot horror book written with BTS, Monsta X, Got7, and Black Pink. This book will be like the movie Hell Fest. And funny enough it will be called "Hell Fest." This will have multiple character deaths so if you don't want to read about your bias getting stabbed in the neck with a machete, I suggest you don't read. So be on the lookout for that for those interested 😉💖
