Present time

« Emily I... » Alison looked hesitant about whatever she had to say.
The brunette in front of her couldn't help but feel impatient and more nervous, so she decided to take the next move.
Suddenly, without giving Alison time to react, Emily put one arm around Ali's waist and the other around her neck, pulling the blonde closer to her body and hugging her tightly and warmly.

Alison was a little in shock about the sudden move, but she couldn't help feeling emotional. She hadn't hugged the brunette in 7 years. During 7 long years she hadn't been able to do what she loved the most, being in Emily's arms.
For the blonde, whenever she was in Emily's arms it felt as if all her pain faded away, mental and physical, even the depressing pain.
Emily's body, even after 7 years was still so familiar to the blonde. The way it moved, the way it felt, even the sound of the heartbeat against her own.
And just like all the other times they had hugged, Alison felt her world melt away as she squeezed Emily back, not wanting the moment to end.

Emily could feel Alison crying on her shoulder and she'd be lying if she said that she didn't feel like crying as well.
« I am so sorry. If I have to apologise to you for the rest of my life, I will. And no matter what you say, I won't let you walk away... Not again. » The brunette said and felt Ali snuggle her face into her neck.

She had missed that, she missed being Ali's escape, that one place where the blonde could find happiness and peace.
« I don't want to walk away again, and I don't want to let me go either. » Ali said, her voice a little muffled. After a second she pulled away slowly, stopping when her face was just a few inches away from Emily's,
« I need you so much. And even if I'm mad at you for what you did, I need you to be with me and hold me, Emily. I need you to do now what I asked you to do 7 years ago. »

The brunette lifted her right hand to Alison's cheek again, wiping the tears away,
« I won't make the same mistake again. I told you, this time without secrets, without lies. Just you and me. »

Ali smiled weakly at the love of her life. She felt like saying 'I love you' to the brunette, but instead of words, Alison kissed the girl. And just like that, the wold fell way. It was slow and soft, comforting in a way that words would never be. Ali's hand rested below Emily's ear, her thumb caressing her warm cheek as their breaths mingled. Emily ran her fingers down the blonde's spine, pulling her even closer until there was no space left between them and she could feel the beating of the other girl's heart against her chest.

When they pulled apart, they rested their foreheads against eachother.
« You won't regret giving us a second chance, I promise you. » Emily whispered and her soft voice gave Alison a sensation of peace, warmth and safety, like she wasn't alone anymore. And even if she was still scared of how this relationship could go, she was too weak to deny the fact that she needed Emily more then ever.

But than, a fact about this whole situation came to Ali's mind which made her clench her jaw and close her eyes.
« What is it? » Emily asked concerned, also hoping that Alison hadn't suddenly changed her mind.
The blonde opened her eyes and looked at the girl,
« Emily, I don't even live here anymore. »

Both of them had completely forgot about that part of the situation.
« When are you supposed to live? »
« Tomorrow morning. » Alison sighed and took Emily's hand in hers,
« I... I can't just stay. Plus I have to... move out of the appartement. »

Emily understood perfectly the reason why Alison wouldn't want to stay with Aria.
« Ali... » The brunette started and the moment Alison looked into her eyes, she already knew what the girl was about to say, so she shook her head,
« No Emily. No way. »
