I woke to the lack of warmth and an emptiness, realizing if been left alone. I looked around, searching for a familiar face. Not seeing him anywhere, I called out timidly, "Raion...?" There wasn't an answer. I gathered myself and stood, wincing at the cold touch of thin snow on my paws. The wind whipped my red fur around as my emerald eyes scanned for Raion.

"Raion?" I called out to the breeze once more. My heart began to thud as I felt the bitter numbness at being alone again.

I'd never wanted to be alone again. And here I was. Alone. I began to panic, tossing my head this way and that, desperately trying to find someone, ANYONE.

But there was no one. In my despair, I howled, and charged towards the trees, trying to find the pack I belonged to. I seemed to run for hours, calling to my pack, looking for home. But it was no where to be found. I ran and ran, my legs aching beneath me as I pressed further and further, calling out for anyone to find me. I hardly noticed that I strayed so far, the snow grew thick again. My chest heaved as I pushed, forcing my legs to keep going, until eventually, they collapsed beneath me, tossing my into the cold, unforgiving snow.

My eyes fluttered open and I tensed almost instantly. Where on earth was I?! As I tried to stand, I noticed my paws were tied together with some old rope.

A word instantly shot into my mind; kidnapped. Someone had me as their prisoner!! But who? I was just a worthless omega! Who could possibly hold a grudge against me?

I looked around at my stony surroundings and grew claustrophobic at the realization of the small, dark cell.

"Ah, so you're awake."

My eyes darted to the left as a figure stepped out of the shadows. My eyes nearly popped out of my head.

"... R-RosePetal?!"

Somehow it wasn't so surprising. But going against one of your own was against pack law! How could she risk her life just to get to ME? She always liked to make fun of me, but why is capturing ME worth her own LIFE? There had to be some reason! What had I ever done to her...? I couldn't think of anything. She simply teased me. I never really said anything back.. It wasn't in my nature to do such a thing. So why was she doing this?

"... The answer is simple," RosePetal seemed to read my thoughts as she answered, a smirk plastered to her face, "You ought to know why. Did you honestly think a hideous omega like you could get away with having the hots for an ALPHA?" She threw her head back and laughed. "Think again! Raion is meant to be with someone of higher rank. Like ME. Someone super sexy like he is. IM who he's destined to be with."

Oh. So that was it.

"RosePetal, please..." I implored, "It's not like that! Raion's just my friend! That's all! I... No! It wasn't..."

She held up a paw to stop me. "Save it, red. I don't give a damn about you're side of the story."

I tugged at the rope that held me to the wall and bound my legs.

"Don't curse...!"

RosePetal rolled her eyes. "Whatever. You're too pure for your own good, you pathetic son of a bitch."

I cringed. Her language was so crass...!

"Rose, please don't do this..."

She turned away, a bored look on her face as she examined her claws. "Oh, I don't have to. I've done my part. The rest is up to the boss."

I frowned. "Boss...?"

She turned around and shouted at the place she'd just come, "BOSS! The redhead's awake!"

I felt my heart skip a beat and my stomach twist as dark laughter came from not far away. My stomach dropped as a familiar figure emerged.
