My heart stopped beating as I looked at a familiar face, my eyes wide in shock and fear.

"... Tyra...?!"

There before me stood a familiar omega face with a narrow muzzle, a sleek black nose and harsh blue eyes. "Auryn." Her voice was cold, sharp. "We meet again."

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. "No...! Tyra... This can't be...!" She laughed darkly. "But it is." She began to pace around in front of me; it was very condescending. "Fool! Haven't you pieced it together yet?"

I thought as hard as I could, but my thoughts were scattered. Nothing came up. What could I possibly have done to get Tyra to turn against me?

"It's simple." Tyra spoke for me. "I know who you are. And I couldn't have you ruining things for me."

I frowned. "I... I don't understand..."

What was she talking about?

"Your fur, Auryn." She hissed. "Aren't you getting it yet?"

I scanned her sharp expression, searching for a hit of playfulness, hoping this was a joke. But no. She was serious. But I still didn't understand.

A malicious grin spread across her muzzle, sending chills down my spine. "Then allow me to explain. I am a witch."

My eyes widened.

What the devil...?!

She continued, ignoring my reaction. "Now listen carefully. It seems I'll have to break this down for that puny brain of yours. Witches have magic---right?" She didn't wait for my response. "Long story short... You had something I wanted."

I wracked my brain, searching for some trace of something worth wanting. There was nothing to be found. I'd had nothing as far as I could remember... What could she want from me? This wasn't making sense...

I asked, "Tyra... What could I have possibly had worth wanting...?"

She smirked. "Power."

I frowned. Power...?

She crept closer, eyeing me triumphantly. "In a way... You could say I sucked you dry."

I couldn't believe anything I was hearing. Let's face it: it made absolutely no sense.

I stared at her. "Why are you telling me this...?"

Her lips curled into a smile that made my blood freeze. "Because you'll be dead by this time tomorrow."
