Never thought of Autumn could hit me like this.. not before I met the man.. the man who was supposed to be named as Mr Autumn. But he was Jongin.. Kim Jongin..
"Irin.. are you listening ?" my sister pushed me a little , as I got caught by some this and that imagination of me while looking through the window.
" Yes.. I am.. So what was that ?"
" what ?"
" The blue envelope you kept on my table. What's that ?" I pointed with my finger.
My sister chuckled, " can't you just move and check yourself ?"
" aaah", I was lying under the full comfort of my blanket. Each minute of the weekend is precious to me. I don't want to move.
" Farin.. why are you here ? Mom sent you, didn't she ? And that envelope – it's with some photographs, right ? I am not gonna get married.. why are you guys super persistent ?"
Farin took her mobile, started scrolling over the screen and said , " Yah yah we know. You are not interested in marriage. You like single life. You cook this and that, eat this and that. Just surviving on oxygen, washing your hair twice in a month, working like a robot and then sleeping – it's the life you are living, we know my dear sister."
I inhaled, did not even try to hide my deep breath. What should I say ? It's not like I am in love with my single life, it's not like that. Actually I feel it safe like this. At least no one will break my heart. At least I am not gonna cry with hell out of my soul for somebody. A broken heart is too much to fix. I loved someone, I lost that one. I know the pain. I know. And that's why I am scared.
" So now that you know, take that damn photograph and leave. You have your work, don't you? It's just Saturday, I want to sleep really deep today."
" No no my dear sister, I just can't leave like that. But you can relax. These photographs are not sent for you."
"what do you mean ?"
" okay, it's been a while,Mom and dad gave up on you. Now they want it for me. Eventually, dad's friend got a businessman son.. and "
" Oh come on, why does every dad get certain son owner ? I don't understand !"
Farin laughed , but not much, so she kept on saying, " I saw him , in instagram and in facebook. This man doesn't seem to be bad. We talked a little , now he wants to meet. He lives nearby. But you know I am uncomfortable."
I closed my eyes, " What do I have with your uncomfortableness ? Just get married. You seem to be into him.. stupid girl.."
" That's what I don't like about you. Just don't jump to conclusion..You are my sweetie sis, aren't you ? please come with me!! I don't know whether he would be a good choice for me"
This time I couldn't lie down. I looked at her, " Are you just freaking asking me to join your date ? Are you insane?"
" I am not , that's why I am asking you. Let's meet him. It's just an introduction, nothing of a date."
I kept staring on her , she was about to cry, I understood the pressure on her. My parents must be insisting her. I know, that's the reason I left home.
I got off from my bed and approached to the table where that envelope was lying.
" May I see them ?"
" Why not ? take a look , I am coming.." She took her steps towards the washroom.
I opened the envelope.
I really wanted to look at each photograph, but I got stuck with the first one. I don't know why, I don't know how, but with the first glance of the person in the photograph, I was shocked.
