Annoy (Me) 《Markhyuck》

Oh look it's a real chapter, not filled with dialogue (I am so proud of myself peoples)

*time skip after school at around 6:30pm*

Mark was running late. Whereas he thought it was a great idea to buy Donghyuck flowers at 6:27pm, when he wanted to pick Donghyuck up at 6:30pm. Yeah, not so great. Donghyuck wasn't exactly sure when Mark was coming. (or if Mark was coming at all)

Then as if someone heard him internally debating with himself, the impeccable (haha no) Mark Lee appeared knocking on his door. When Donghyuck saw Mark, he wanted to die. There is just something so cliche, but hot about a "boyfriend" who has an indirect upswept, lazy, hairstyle.

"Hey, Hyuck, sorry I am late I just couldn't find you a perfect bouquet to buy...."

"You are every cliche, Mark Lee, you know that right?"

"I aim to be"

Mark shot Donghyuck a half smile and held out a bouquet of a salmon tinted peonies. The ruffles of the flowers folded over each other and smelt sweet, maybe the gesture wasn't such a bad idea. Donghyuck took the flowers and smiled at Mark, hoping not to look too eager about the flowers.

But Mark knew he was, and isn't that all that matters? He slipped his hand into Donghyuck and looked him in the eye

"Come on, Hyuck, we still have a whole date."

"I'd stay here with you and that would be enough..."

Donghyuck whispered under his breath as Mark pulled him away to his car. When they arrived at their destination, he wasn't sure what he was expecting, but he loved this. It was a boardwalk amusement park by a beach. It contrasted brightly to the dimly lit sky.

When Mark looked over to Donghyuck after parking, the look of fascination covering Donghyuck's face made Mark smile. He tapped Donghyuck' shoulder and said lightly

"Let's go, Hyuck"

Mark got out of his side and walked over to Donghyuck's door and opened it and helped Donghyuck out, (because chivalry isn't dead and Mark is a gentleman) Donghyuck still looked like he was in a trance by the amusement park on a boardwalk concept.

Mark placed his hands in his jacket pockets and walked onto the sand with Donghyuck following behind him, which lead Donghyuck to wonder 'why here?'

"You know, Hyuck, when I was little, this used to be my favorite place on the Earth. My Mom would take me every week and I'd do everything here. I had so many stuffed animals everywhere and I would refuse to throw them away..... it was hilarious really. I promised her something though..... I said to her 'Mom, I love you, but if I ever love someone else too, I'll bring them here, and do everything I do with you.' She smiled at me and ruffled my hair she always thought that was so cute."

The words got stuck in Donghyuck's throat. He tried to say something, but nothing happened. Mark, who turned around and looked at Donghyuck, who was blushing a deep hue that could be seen even with his golden brown skin.

Mark loved that, Donghyuck's skin, it was sun kissed and beyond beautiful. Mark just grabbed Donghyuck's hand and whispered into his ear

"Come on, beautiful, let's go."

Yet again, he pulled Donghyuck with him to a different destination. When they reached the park (through all the sand seeping into their shoes) they did everything, Mark won Donghyuck 3 plushies (one of which was a moomin that he planned on rubbing it in Renjun's face) at 2 different booths, getting one for free because she thought Mark and Donghyuck were cute together.

They went on all rides, and of course all of them were special to Mark and Donghyuck, but there was one that Donghyuck swears he'll never forget. The park was just about to close at the peak of 10pm and there was almost no one, but Mark had one more thing left to do.

They walked slowly to the Ferris Wheel.

Donghyuck who glanced up at the Ferris Wheel, was yet again astonished by the light adorned apparatus. The look that was set in Donghyuck's eyes were almost child like wonder. It reminded Mark of himself.

They stopped walking as Mark turned around, uttering a small "Donghyuck wait here for a second" as Mark ran to the orange haired boy about to shut down the Ferris Wheel.

The orange haired sent Mark a small smile as he gestured to Donghyuck standing in the distance, assuming that Mark was asking him if they could ride it before he closes it for the night. The boy smiled brightly before nodding in agreement and gestured for Donghyuck to come.

Donghyuck's eyes glittered as the lights reflected off his eyes. Once again, something Mark loved about Donghyuck. The orange haired boy was looking just the same at the couple, Mark couldn't stop smiling. If there was any word Mark would use to describe this would be perfection. "Thank you again, Jungwoo hyung, can you also tell Lucas hyung I said thank you?"

Jungwoo smiled (whimsically) and said in a whisper-like voice "I love you two together" and then, Mark's heart dropped. It was fake, he keeps forgetting 'Donghyuck is just fooling me to get what he wants.... ugh I am such an idiot' despite this he still remained with a light smile as he pulled Donghyuck onto the ride.

As they slowly went up, Donghyuck's grip tightned on the ryan plushie, (that yes, he planned on showing Nana) Mark noticed and turned Donghyuck so he was facing him.

"Just pay attention to me, okay? Don't look down just stay right here with me."

Donghyuck shook his head and looked away and Mark turned Donghyuck's face back to him. Mark scooted closer as the Ferris Wheel stopped at the top, the moon shining onto Donghyuck's skin.

He looked ethereal, even with tears glistening in his eyes from his fear of heights. Mark looked Donghyuck in the eyes and pressed their lips together.

The kiss was made to take away fears. Not make them realise how in love they were. Donghyuck closed his eyes slowly, putting ryan down to wrap his arms around Mark's neck and pull him closer.

In reaction Mark snaked his arms around Donghyuck's waist. It wasn't sweet nor distasteful. The kiss was real and natural, nothing kept as secret anymore.

Meaning that I will proofread tomorrow and I will be writing another non-dialogue part (not very far in the future) however this book is coming to an end soon (not sure how many chapters, I am only a few ahead I apologise)  So so so, before sappy goodbyes and tear streaked papers let's finish it first, shall we?
