Briar POV
After school that same day, Myles asked me if I wanted to hang out with him after school and I accepted his offer of course. We decided to invite our friends to join us as well, Victoria and Isaac. Vic is my only friend, and Isaac is her boyfriend, so it only seemed fitting to invite them both.
I am super nervous to see Myles again. I mean, he probably doesn't like me the way I like him but there's nothing wrong with hoping he does right?
Vic and Isaac are the cutest couple ever, and when I see them together it makes me feel kind of jealous. It makes me feel so single, if you know what I mean. I have never been loved by anyone before. My family or blame me for my sisters death, they even kicked me out of the house last year. Its okay though, they left me a lot of money in my bank account so I bought my own place instead. Anyways, I've never had a boyfriend and I have just one true friend, Vic. I've never been loved before and I have never had to love anyone, so this thing with Myles is so new for me.
"Snap out of it girl." Vic says, snapping her fingers in front of my face, and pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Uh what was that?" I ask her.
"We were just talking about whether we should go to the beach or the MALL!" Vic tells me, getting excited about the mall.
"I think we should go to the beach, I mean the mall. Actually no ... " I trail off.
"Make up your mind B." Isaac says, smirking.
"But its so hard. The mall or the beach." I say. "They're my two favourite places."
"Okay, I think we should go to the beach." Isaac says.
"Same." Myles agrees.
"Fine beach it is." Vic and I say in unison.
We walk down to the beach and I begin to feel overwhelmed with nervous excitement. Its like a lighter has just ignited my heart. Is this what love feels like?
