Carrying out the Plan

I sent a pancake and Ayra sent confetti, but it all gunked up the sensor and the door stayed open. We then started gunking the scientists.

"PANCAKES!" I shouted, splatting one.

"CONFETTI!" Shouted Ayra, bombing another.

"CONFETTI PANCAKES!" We shouted, as the two got caught up and then hit a scientist's face.

We all ran full speed into the Corridor. I made steps and we climbed up into a vent.

In all the noise, nobody heard Amalina's wristband beep or saw her on the floor, in the same way that the scientists couldn't 'beep' us.

"Wow..." I breathed.

"Didn't expect to get this far." Said Ayra.

"Hey, did any of you bring Amalina?" Alina asked, jumping.

"No." We all said in unison.

"I'll stay here and guard, you go get her." Said Ayra. Me and Alina were left to find her. We crept down the corridor.

Amalina was in the torture room, being hooked up to bonds by a machine. It was nowhere near done.

"Don't wanna go in there again." Said Alina, as I tested the handle to check if it was locked.

"I've been in only too many times." I said, opening the door and entering. Twice the scientists came in and stared around as we crushed cameras, but we were too quick for them. We took Amalina and headed off, carrying her between us.

Once we were in the vent, I packed up the stairs and Ayra made some sort of stretcher thingy for Amalina. I formed lights and Alina took leader. We crawled as silently as we could around the vents for some time, and one by one the lights went out.

"Weird." Alina muttered and we went on without them, our eyes adjusting to the dark. At one point, we heard the scientists below saying that they'd get dinner for 'those experiments' soon and we decided to hurry up. This was, until we heard a conversation below. Alina stopped, intent to listen in.

"L3R10's disappeared, L5R01. You have any idea where she might have gone?"

"Sceia? Well done her is all I can say. And please don't call me that! It's EVER so confusing. I was L3R05, and now I'm L5R01! Just use my name!"

"L3R05? Did you know her?" Alina hissed at me.

"I think so. Hey, I think she was the one that inspired me to make a tree in my room. Let me think."

"You made a tree in your room? Well, actually I had a friend when I was very young who was obsessed with trees... but it was a long time ago."

"Same old same old, you are. Aha! L5R02! You have any idea where L3R10's gone?" There was a pause.

"You talking to me? Oh, well. I've no idea but I wouldn't put it past Sceia. Agreed with Flora there. I mean, seven years of Lab 5 probably should put me into practise, but I had 13 in three. Just use our names, won't ya?"

"I know now!" I said. "It's old Flora and Fauna! Rebel leaders in Lab 3, my best friends ever there, and they've been here the entire time?"

"What?" Said Ayra, staring at me.

"Well, she's taken off with L3R12, L3R11 and L3R05 as well!" The scientist continued.

"No she hasn't, I'm right here." Said Flora. We headed on our way and dropped down in an empty room.

"Woah, this light is blinding." I said, flinging my arm up to shield my eyes.

"Come on, it's our road to escape!" Said Alina, steering us towards it.
