Once the black cats came back and they all ate together, making sure to stay close to Angel, the three cats huddles together and curled up to go to sleep. Cody sighed and went over to Angel. "Oh Angel" he murmured and licked her cheek a few times before settling down for the night right next to her.

At dawn Cody was jolted awake by a crash in the distance. He strained his ears to listen as the birds flittered about showing no signs of distress as if they heard that crash every day. He got to his paws and nudged at the three sleeping cats. Shellfur poked her head up first "What?" she said, obviously still tired. "I-I heard something in the woods. Sorry to bother you Shellfur." He left her alone and she instantly laid her head back down and dozed off again. He heard his stomach growl and figured he'd go hunt for their breakfast.

The two Jet black cats stayed curled around Shellfur, almost as if they couldn't leave her. The sun was now rising steadily and Shellfur was waking up for the day. She'd traveled a long way just to come help Cody. The last time she'd seen him was when he was a regular cat and had just began to explore the world. That was many moons ago. Things had changed. They weren't the same as when he'd left to go on his own. Since he'd been gone she'd actually changed the way the Tribe of Caves lived. She, just one scrawny little she-cat at the time, had changed history forever in just one moon by acting out and getting the rest of the clan to join in to over throw the leader that was making the clan starve.

Shellfur got up and looked around, Angel was close by. She was still alive but she needed to be looked at soon. Shellfur listened to the sounds that sounded so familiar to her as she got up and stretched out her legs. It took her a few moments to realize Cody wasn't around. She strained her ears for any sounds that might signal something wrong. All seemed to be alright for now. She sighed and settled back down, bathing herself while she waited for Cody.

Once again, Cody was off on his own. He listened for the signs of prey and ended up catching a few things. He buried them together and decided to head away from the crashing he heard earlier to hunt some more. He took a few more pawsteps and something suddenly came thrashing through the brush at him. He turned tail and raced back through the forest and back to where he thought the group was but when he came running out from the forest they were no where to be found "Angel!" he called out as he began trotting and looking around. "Shellfur?" he called out again. The thing behing him had given up it's persuit and ambled back into the shelter of its home.

Cody was alone and lost.
