Miami to Los Angeles | Grayson Dolan

"Hi, sister!" James squeals with excitement as he opens the front door. he's wearing shorts and a hoodie just like me. I hug him as I walk in being greeted by nearly 20 people all with their own separate reasons, rushing around trying to get everything in place. 

Neither me or James are doing our own hair and makeup today. Which in all honesty is weird, I never really have my makeup done. other than James doing it. 

"Okay, so hair is there. Makeup here and facials are there" I and James skip around the apartment looking at each station. "If there's anything else we need then we'll get it" he smiles excitedly and talks faster than he's ever done before. 

"this is all so perfect, I'm so excited!" 

"Oh and your dress," as he says that, my heart skips a beat in excitement "you get it last, it may not be your favourite, but I mean Gray chose it so it'll have to do" he laughs, but those last few words sent a shiver down my spine. I know we've made up... kinda... but I still know this all ends tomorrow.

I try and stay focused on today and carry on talking to James.

"so, you ready for your dress?" I snap my head towards James and nod rapidly. my hair and makeup were all done and we had about an hour before we had to leave. "come with me!" he grabs my hand and runs into his dressing room pulling me along behind him.

he hands me over the bag with the dress in it and all I can think about is the fact that Grayson chose it. it really doesn't even matter... its just a dress... if its ugly, I mean James probably has something 

"you dressed?" he calls from the other room "yeah, gimme a second" there was no mirrors in the room I was changing in, but honestly from what I could see, made me want to cry. it was simple, stunning and elegant. it completely baffled me how on earth he could have picked something like this... 

"ready?" 

"are you kidding me! come on!"

"Holy Shit" I whip my head around realising that, that wasn't James' voice "Grayson?" I ask extremely confused. 

"I- I thought we were meeting you there?"I stumble on my words as I look him up and down. he sent butterflies through my stomach. in fact, my entire body. even though he still wasn't dressed for the awards, he still took my breath away.

"I needed to pick up my jacket... you look stunning" he smiles in a way I can't figure out. "I'll see you in a bit okay Davis?" this time he winks and smirks, walking out and saying nothing else. I feel my cheeks heating up as I turn back to James. 

"okay, somethings happened, but hell was there a lot of sexual tension there"

"James!" I screech making my cheeks heat up even more. I do giggle slightly at the awkwardness he has just caused. "don't ever say anything like that again, besides I leave tomorrow, nothings ever gonna happen. it was just a little fling, literally like 3 days..."

"Hey, come on let's not talk about this! I'm about to walk my first red carpet!" I try and lighten both mine and his moods. we smile in agreement with each other and walk over to the mirror to check ourselves out. I had my hair in simples, loose beach waves. and for my makeup, I had quite dark eyes, my favourite. 

"James the car is here," Kelly says as she walks in and out quickly as she rushes around trying to get the last things sorted. James and I share excited smiles as we walk towards the front door.  

I walk carefully down the stairs, as James holds my hand steadying me. "James..." I say with a shaky voice "what's wrong?" 

"I feel sick... im so nervous..." at this point the nerves were starting to get the best of me. "I know, I still get it and I've been to too many of these now. But trust me, once you get there, you'll have me, Gray and E to support you." his warm smile made me relax and made my shoulders drop from their tense state.

we get down to the car to be greeted by an all blacked out 2018 Range Rover. gorgeous. 

the ride to the event was spent singing and having a glass of champagne each. once we get there the driver pulls up to the entrance and steps out. he lets James out, who then walks around to my side to help me. 

As soon as the car door opens you can hear the screaming people and the clicking of the cameras everywhere. little intimidating. I try to quickly shake off my worries and stand with a tall stance. 

as I step out I prepare myself to walk straight on to the carpet, but my hand is quickly grabbed "we're gonna wait around the corner for Ethan and Grayson. We were kinda invited as one big group, they wanted us all to walk on together." I nod along to what he is saying until I realised that I'd have to walk with Grayson. pictures would be taken and we would all have to pose together. 

Unfortunately, Emma didn't get invited, but I knew she would be watching. 

we stand and wait for around ten minutes until we get told that they were the next car to pull up.  I start to feel the butterflies in my stomach again until my thoughts get cut off by James "I know you're nervous... and not about the event. about Grayson. But I know him if he truly likes you and this means something to either of you. he will try with everything in him to make it work..."

his words completely lighten my mood and make me smile like a geek.

"BOO!" Ethan says as he pinches my sides making me nearly scream. I turn around a hit his arm and giggle "you dick!" I laugh 

"Oi! Language!" Gray laughs as he walks over to all of us "you ready gorgeous?" he says as he looks down to me and a kisses me quickly on the forehead so that none of the crowd sees. I don't bother looking down to hide my blushing cheeks this time, my cakey makeup hides it all

"okay sisters, shall we?" Ethan says mocking James who looks over to him with a sarcastic scowl. 

"Ready?" Gray says. he smiles at me and holds his arm out for me to take. "Ready" I look happily over to James and Ethan and then up to Gray. Let's do this...
