Chapter 9

Today was show n tell at Kevin's school so of course he decided to bring Edward and me being me decides to follow along to make sure Edward isn't put into harms way. It actually went pretty well he made some arts of the papers red little devils connected which the children loved and a little girl with black hair in the back held up a piece of paper in the back stating 'I like Edward Scissorhands more than my parents'. Afterwards I drove Edward home and we spent the day talking, which was amazing because this is the first time he let me lean. As I leaned against him I decided to tell him something, something very few people knew about.

we had been sitting silently for a few minutes, just enjoying each others presence. I finally gathered my courage and looked up at him "Edward?"

He looked down at me with a slight smile "Yes y/n?" the way his dark eyes starred into my e/c eyes took the breath out of me I could finally admit it I was in love with Edward scissorhands.

"I have only told 2 people this Peg and well an old friend of mine, and well if you don't mind I'd like to tell you." I said looking away blushing slightly.

"Of course y/n and look at me please I like to see your face." I blushed heavier and looked up.

"Well I think this may freak you out but um as fake as it sounds I'm immortal." I bit my lip as he stared at me silently for a few moments

"What is Immortal?" he said, I never thought about the fact he may not know what it means

"umm it means I can't die like I still keep scars and stuff but don't die it's weird I know." 

"oh" he says seemingly confused " I suppose I'm the same."

My eyes lit up "really??" I said excitedly and a little too loud. His arm had been on the back of the couch far enough so it wouldn't touch me, slowly he wrapped his arms around me as leaned closer.

"y/n I-I love you" he said, we were both blushing now and he seemed nervous as to what I'd respond with

"I love you too" unthinkingly I kissed him and to my surprise he kissed me back. "Edward is it true you would want- well you know not scissorhands"

He turned serious for a moment "yes" 

"I know a little bit about that stuff and I may be able to help would you want that?" as I said this I've seen a look I've never seen from him one so filled of hope happiness and excitement I thought he might cry

"Very much so" then we continued to awkwardly hug.
