"yoongi?" hoseok stared up at the ceiling as he laid on in sleeping bag, yoongi next to him on his bed.
"yeah?" he said back, not bothering to look down. they had their most intimate conversations like this, neither brave enough to look at each other.
"we've never really talked about- about the attempt." hoseok was quiet, scared. he didn't Their conversation from earlier had made hoseok realise how little he knew of it.
"what did you want to know?" Yoongi was pretty nonchalant about the whole situation. He'd talked about it frequently to his family- who had then told multiple psychiatrists about how yoongi did it.
based on the silence yoongi had no choice but to assume hoseok shrugged. either that or his mutism rubbed off on him.
"things were rough for me last year. after dad died everything was a lot worse, i could barely speak to you guys. mum was struggling trying to cope with everything- i really did just think it'd be for her- for everyone if i died. she wouldn't have to spend all of her money on my medication or doctors that i can't even fucking talk to—" yoongi was interrupted by a crack in his voice. he hadn't realised he was crying before now.
"i'm sorry," yoongi whispered, wiping his tears with shaky hands. "thanks for calling the ambulance. i would be dead if it wasn't for you."
