Approaching the door, a small grey keypad shifted out of the wall, its silver buttons reflecting the flickering light that hung over me. The buttons counting one through nine a zero with a cross over it was located at the bottom, a white C to the right while another grey X rested on the left. My finger gliding over the pad I typed in C9001, the code appearing on a screen above the buttons to confirm my code, before finally pushing the X.

The keypad retracted back into the wall, moments later the door sliding open with a clean, swift movement.

Stepping through the door I knocked on the wall twice before fully exiting the storage room. Keeping my hand in the doorway, I waited several short moments before Arsen came running into the door from what seemed nowhere, pulling my hand back as he rushed through the door, closing it.

A large thud sounding at the beast crashed and twisted metal, shrieking shortly after. Arsen drawing in short rapid breaths as he smiled at the thrill of what was a run for his life.

Arsen pulled a slim pad out of the kit resting on his back, shaking it up, a light breathed onto his face. Swiping across its screen several times, pausing for a brief moment before dropping it only to crush it under his boot.

"How's everyone else doing?" I inquired, a small static cube appearing behind him before fading away like a ghost.

"Well, a few of them are injured, but not as serious as you." He answered, "And yes, Latrina's perfectly fine." He added, shutting my mouth.

I don't think she's fine. A voice whispered, turning around I saw an empty grey hall, black stains spattering the walls and floor, a small noise echoing down the ever so growing hall.

A hand appeared slipped in front of me, fingers snapping, "Hey, you still with me?" Arsen asked, lowering his hand.

"Uh, yeah. Thought I heard something."

"Then let's go, before someone else loses their limbs." He suggested, pointing his weapon down the opposite direction.

Taking a few steps I stopped and turned back to the hall, I heard Arsen speaking as he continued to walk away, his voice fading away.

I turned around to follow him but saw I was right behind him. How could that be? I'm right here, how can I be there when I'm here? What's going on? Am I dreaming?

I passed it off as if it wasn't something out of the ordinary, but why? Why would I pass this off as something normal? This wasn't normal yet it was, I had an inkling telling me I've done this before. How is it that this felt like a second dream, when have I ever done this?

Walking down the hall, a shining light beamed from around the corner, as I approached a small growl echoed in the light. Hesitating at first I stepped out into the light, turning to face it. I saw a single creature, a green and red distortion outlining it. What I assumed would be another hall was just an empty room, small blue cubes decorating it. The creature turned to face me, her mouth twisting apart to split into two jaws, her yellow jacket ripped with intestines and other vital organs showing, the heart still pumping was hanging by a single thread of muscle. What was left of her orange hair dangled in a single ponytail behind the jaws, my heart sinking as I recognized this was someone I knew, someone I brought aboard with me.

"Latrina..." I cried, tears rolling out of my eyes as I back peddled away from what used to her, pressing my back against a wall.

She slashed at me with her massive talons, one entering my left shoulder, yet I felt nothing, no pain came from her.

I looked down at the talon and watched as it turned to dust, a blackness engulfing everything as tried to run back.

Until I was once again in the chair I've sat in once, but it felt like I've sat in this chair a hundred times before now.
