Amber’s POV:
Hannah was driving us home and we were singing our hearts out. As we turned onto the road that would take us to our town, we noticed some things. First, there was debris everywhere. Then as we drove on, Hannah turned off the radio. We stopped singing.
The road was covered in water. About two feet of water came up our tires as we drove through it. Hannah stared ahead blankly and the houses we passed were all in pieces. Then when we finally came to our house, I gasped.
Our house was gone, literally crushed. All that remained was snapped wood and broken pipes. I slowly got out of the car. I walked up to the place where my house used to be. Then as I stepped over the debris, a glint of purple caught my eye. I stepped over a snapped board and walked over to it.
My purple headset sat there next to Hannah’s orange ones. I picked mine up and I put them on, never to take them off again.
