a glittering expanse lies beyond,
scattering nebulae of stars in sight
she gazes above, expression fond
though she's a celestial neophyte
the glow begins leisurely,
turning patches of onyx sky bright
comets plummet to earth carelessly
setting her expression alight
the moon wanes till nothing remains
for new radiance to arise for a night
stars shine with power they contain
and so she'd smile without plight
