"The shock would set in, then the anger, grief and then acceptance. But Thomas never made it to the last stage of losing someone," Edd started. "He threw away everything of tord's, or at least what was left." Edd looked up from the desk and to the woman who sat at the other side, listening carefully, her gaze flicking from Edd's eye contact back to her paper. "Have there been any other accidents or has this just happened out of the blue?" The woman asked, writing on her paper. "Tom isn't very fond of other people but, yeah. He's never acted out like this before." Edd admitted, looking out the window. Rain smacked the glass, the parking lot of the building filled with cars to the brim. Tom was sat in one of the very cars, left to wait for his two friends to come back. Edd went to talk to toms counsellor and matt was in one of the cafes on the first floor. Pressing his hand firmly on the window, toms hand came in contact with the frosty ice, which stabbed like needles. It wasn't like he felt anything anymore. The only feeling he ever felt was the continuous unceasing pain which grew larger everyday in the pit of his stomach. He was mostly mad at himself. Why did he allow himself to get so attached to Tord only to be tossed aside in the end? He wasn't sure.
"There's not much else I can do, but make sure he stays close to you Edd. I can call up his phycologist and also get him back on track with his medications." The woman spoke softly, her voice calming, like a mothers. "Alright, thank you." Edd smiled, shaking the woman's hand and leaving. He left the building with a plastic bag and his other hand holding matts. Edd opened the car door, sitting himself in the drivers seat, matt sitting at the front fixing the mirror to look at himself. Edd sighed, turning around to face tom who was sat on the furthest left seat of the back. His hair rough, looking like he ran his hand through it countless times, his hollow eyes more dead than before, and the bags that indicated he hadn't slept. "So... I got your sleep pills to help you out.." Edd half-smiled, but toms eyes never left the car window. He watched the rain droplets dribble down the glass. "How about a movie tonight? We haven't had a movie night for ages!" Edd suggested, turning to matt, who cheered. "Let's watch insane zombie pirates from hell three!" Edd half smiled, looking back to tom. "How about it, Tom?" "Please just drive us back." Tom sickly replied, making Edd sigh, and turn around back to the front seat. Matt's smile was rugged away with a weak smile, placing on the side of the door, looking out of the window as Edd started the car.

'Those piercing silver eyes. Forgive and to forget sounds a lot harder than it is.'

Once the door opened, without a word escaping his or Edd's lips, tom walked to his bedroom, leaving the sound of the broken television and the fan to fill the silent air. There was only so much he could do for Tom. He placed the placed bag on the kitchen counter and weakly smiled to himself, shutting the door to Thomas's apartment behind him.

The constant drilling at his heart,
The scars he left emotionally,
He was left to cradle himself to sleep, with the help of medications. Looking down at his bare arm, which itched in pain as red scars littered his frail skin, blood oozing down leaving a sickening smell. Sliding his sleeve back up, he sluggishly lays down on his bed, the covers tangling with his legs, as the ceiling fan blows against his body. Switching his focus from his emotions and his phone; time had never gone so slow until now. The constant reminder that each second without Tord felt like a million years filled his head with horrid thoughts you'd find in the scary movies.  Sitting up, groaning loudly, tom slides his socks on and walks across the cold wooden floor, to the dimly lit bathroom. Gripping onto the door handle, he twists it open walking in. Pulling on the strung light, he nearly scared himself from how pessimistic he looked. -He always has looked bitter but this was a whole new level.

-Bang!-

Tom flinched by the loud noise, turning to his bedroom in confusion. Edd should have left to go on his weekend shopping sprees with matt by now..

-SMASH!-

"Tom! Where are you?!" "Tom!" "Tom?"

Tom gasped, jumping up in the bed, frantically looking around. "Tom! Hey-hey it's okay!" Edd reassured, putting his hand out to tom, who scrambled away, his nails digging into the bed sheet. His vision spun, making him feel dismal reacting by groaning, sinking back into the bed. "Edd?" Tom spoke, his voice croaking. "Shh, just take it easy. You've been through a lot." He chuckled, standing up from the chair which was next to the hospital bed, making his way to the sink and grabbing a glass. "Where are we?" His voice cracked, as he looking to the small draw next to his bed, on top were flowers, and get well soon cards. "We found you behind the stage at red base. The snow was so red, we thought you were killed! You were just unconscious. No severe injuries, just a lot of bruises and scratches. "We lost a lot of people yesterday. Two leaders were killed, soldiers murdered and... Blue Base." Edd cleared his throat, pouring the water out and handing it to tom who hesitated at first. Realisation hit tom like a rock to the back of the head. "But on the bright side, Red Leader disappearance mid-fight helped us get everyone else out. Kaylie and Zara has gotten into their weaponry station." Edd smiled, taking a sip of his water. Tom swirled the water in his cup slowly, watching the water weigh over to which ever way was facing the bottom. "You should have taken a shot right to the chest but, you somehow didn't. All of that blood, and you were unharmed."Edd recalled. "We has no time to take a sample, so there is a possibility it wasn't your blood." Edd scratched his chin. "You're growing facial hair." Tom blurted out, making Edd laugh. "And you're still the tom we know and love." Edd smiled, infecting Thomas's face with a curl. Edd looked down slightly, his face scrunching back to a serious expression. "Tom... how much do you remember?" Edd pondered. "Only scattered fragments. I remember the screen, Amanda and Tord.." tom swallowed hard, his green virtual eyes widening. "Tom???"

"He saved me?"

|| If you didn't understand the first part that well, it took place a bit before tom was kidnapped at the beginning of the book, which was more explained in chapter 2. I've got more ideas set out and I think most of you will like it hopefully :,) ||
