A truck engine roaring, could be heard in the house. Morgan's anxiety grew larger and larger with every second. The engine roar was loud, Morgan could here it through her headphones. They were on full blast! The sound died down and she could hear a car door SLAM. She knew Cayden was home. She didn't know why, but she was scared and worried.'Why am I scared? This is Cayden...' She tried to calm herself. The garage door opened, and foot steps proved Morgan's worries. Layne and Cayden were indeed home.
"MOM! Were home!" Cayden yelled. Morgan walked to the door, that was open by a crack, she walked in and watched Cayden and Layne unpack their backpacks. Jory walked in to greet her sons and ask about their day.
"Hey guys, how was school?" Jory asked.
"Alright.. I think I am going to chill out in the hangout room and maybe do my homework" Layne said. walking to towards the room Morgan was in.
"Uh...Um.... Actually.. Layne I need your help in the basement, Going through some old gym stuff" Jory said very quickly.
"Do I have too Mom! Why Can't Cayden help you?" Layne asked.
"Yeah Mom, Why can't I help you?" Cayden asked his Mom confused.
"I think your needed for something else... Or rather someone else needs you more than Layne or I do" Jory replied.
Just than, Morgan opened the door and showed herself to the arguing family. Cayden's face changed from annoyance, instantly to Worry and concern when he saw the look on Morgan's face.
"Sure mom I'll help you... Lets go and organize the garage" Layne said. From the look on his brothers face and Morgan's, He knew they needed to talk, and they probably wanted to do it privately.
To say Cayden was confused, would be an understatement. He knew from the look on his girlfriend's face, something was wrong and clearly upsetting her. Whenever he saw her like that, it had him upset.
"Hey, What's wrong?" he asked her. Morgan didn't say anything, and looked at the floor. Cayden walked forward, took a hold of her hand. Than walked them into the room, where Morgan was previously in, and sat down on the couch.
"My Mom came to the school today..... A-And she said shes moving back to Saskatchewan, and my parents are getting a divorce. My dad is moving back to his home town as well." Morgan explained to her Boyfriend.
"I-I want to stay here in Edmonton, but I can't, so I have to move b-back with my Mom. She's leaving tomorrow" Morgan stuttered out.
"Hey, it's going to be okay" He said to her to clam her down.
"How?" Morgan asked.
"Because for the rest of today, We're going to have a lot of fun together" Cayden replied.
"I'd Like that." Morgan said with a smile.
For the next couple of hours, Morgan and Cayden did so many actives together. They played video games on his Wii, he showed her around outside, she even cooked the family Dinner and cleaned the whole house spotless. When Cayden's dad come home around 6:00 O'clock, he went straight for the plate that was waiting for him on the table.
"Hmm, great supper tonight honey." Mitch said after taking one bite.
"Well, don't thank me Mitch. Morgan cooked dinner tonight." Jory replied.
"I must say, she's a great cook this is delicious!" Mitch said. That comment made Morgan blush.
"Thank you Sir, I'm glad you like it." Morgan said back.
