Chapter 4: Am I Good Enough?

After Class.....

    "Hey" Cayden said greeting Morgan as she walked out of the Advanced Maths room

"Hey how was Chem class?" Morgan asked politely keeping a small smile to herself. The pair began to walk back to their lockers, while Cayden told a story about a friend starting a fire in class. The story made Morgan laugh and smile. They reach their locker and they changed their books and such for class next in 15 minutes.

     "BC...CAYDEN" filled the hallways. Morgan turned her heads to see the boys that laughed at her, just an hour earlier. "Come with me I'll introduce you to my friends" Cayden said. Morgan wasn't sure if she should go over with him or not. Her hesitation didn't go unnoticed by Cayden.

   "Hey..I wouldn't let them treat you, the way they did this morning" Cayden said in a very sweet quiet tone. While walking over to his friends,  he pulled her closer and gave Morgan a side hug. Wrapping his arm around her, this made Morgan smile slightly. Cayden's friends faces of confusion and surprise, were such a priceless moment for Morgan when they both arrived over to the group of 4.

   "Cole...Dakota... this is my friend Morgan, you obviously know her as the girl you guys were bullying earlier." Cayden said sporting a 'You Need To Say Sorry' look and voice. The boys that have known him since preschool, knew not to mess with the current tone he was using.

"Umm.... We're sorry for mistreating you." Cole said politely.

    "Thank you" Morgan said very quietly. Cayden could tell she was feeling very uncomfortable, so he wrapped his arm around Morgan a little bit more to show she was doing fine.

    "This is my idiot friends Girlfriends Jamie and Lara" he said.

   "Hey sorry about the boys, they can be a little bit of jerks sometimes" Lara told Morgan. 

    "Well I'm sorry if Dakota hurt your feelings. I for one know what it's like to be a geek and bullied because of it" Jamie said very sincerely to her new friend.

  "It's ok really....I..I'm kinda use to being picked on and bullied at new schools" Morgan said finding her voice in the group of people.

   "So BC what's the deal with you and this Math Nerd?" Dakota asked his best friend. Cayden threw a glare at him, for saying that in front of Morgan.

"BC..???" Morgan asked out loud. The rest of the group laughed when she asked. "It's been Cayden's nickname for years. It stands for Basketball 🏀 Captain." Cole explained.

"WELL...not that it's any of your business Dakota, But I met Morgan over the weekend." Cayden said in an angry voice. Morgan giggled a little at Caydens answer and Jamie and Lara did too.

(Bell rings)

"Well Girls, idiots and Cayden. It's time for English" Lara pronounced. Jamie and Morgan smiled and laughed at her sarcasm. With that the group of friends gathered us their belongings and started almost skipping to class, with Morgan and Cayden right behind. Morgan looked questionably at Cayden as they were walked in the English Room.

  "Sorry" Cayden said. He released his arm from Morgan, witch made her smile and laugh.

   "It's ok....I Guess...umm...You'll be sitting with your friends in the class room. So I'll go to my spot at the back of the room" Morgan said with a sad voice. Cayden knew the back of the room, is where the bullies and the bully victims sat. He knew if he just let her go alone she would DEFINITELY be picked on and distracted from the teachers lessons.

   "No you'll be sitting up here...With Me." He replied. Morgan smiled but still had a worried look when she sat in the desk next to Cayden.

"I won't let anyone bully you here" Cayden said

  "But....I'm not popular...and I feel your friends don't like me" she said honestly to him.

"Morgan. I JUST met you and I already love you" Jaime said

"You the perfect addition to this bunch, you'll fit right in" Lara said

Morgan smiled brighter then the sun. She was so amazed. Finally she was starting to have a great start to a new school after 10 years and 10 schools. She knew her life would be so great as long as she kept Cayden around....🙂❤️.
