Aubrey

"Oh dear, this is just perfect." Mrs Brown delighted, as her eyes scanned through the manuscript, flipping the pages carefully as she cross checked my work.

Today had been really stressful.

First, I taught Tyler how to make a mean spaghetti and meatballs. After that, he excused himself, saying he had business to take care of.

I had spent that time wondering why Tyler would want to learn how to cook? It was so unlike him. I knew quite well that Tyler Bresfort was never one to eat outside. He loved his inside food, I sometimes wondered how he managed before I came into his life.

The fact that Tyler wanted to learn how to cook was so unexpected, but with Tyler being Tyler, he never does anything without reason and me being me, I submitted to whatever he wanted.

"I'm glad you like it, Mrs Brown." I smiled at her.

Mrs Brown had being my long-time client since I moved to Vino. She was an author, a best selling author at that. When she has reached out to me, I was so excited to be able to work with her.

"I don't just like it, I love it." She smiled warmly at me. "In fact—"

The door to her office flew open, cutting her off from what she was about to say. In came a very beautiful woman, She had red hair, and wrinkles around the corners of her very black eyes due to the wide grin she had on her face.

"Amelia." Mrs Brown cheered excitedly as she stood up to give Amelia a warm friendly hug.

"Oh my God, Mrs Brown, you look so good." Amelia cheered too when they broke out of the hug.

Amelia's eyes came down to mine. "Hi there." She smiled.

"Hey! Nice to meet you?" I was unsure of how to reply to her over friendly greetings, I mean, I didn't know this woman, so.

"Nice to meet you too, Aubrey." Amelia said.

I raised my brows at Mrs Brown, I didn't remember telling Amelia my name.

Mrs Brown took her seat, so did Amelia. Mrs Brown smiled at me and said. "Don't be surprised that Amelia here knows your name, she's psychic."

My eyes widened.

A what? Do they even exist?

"We do..." Amelia responded.

To say I wasn't shocked or surprised would be a very gigantic lie.

"Um... I better go. I'll see you soon-" I was getting up when Mrs Brown spoke.

"No, why don't you stay for a palm reading? It's free."

"Uh, I don't- I don't really believe in that stuff." I said.

Amelia Chuckled. "Most people don't believe in it, but I can assure you, I'm not a cat fish..  I'm the real deal." Amelia said.

"Well, that's what a catfish would say." I muttered.

Mrs Brown laughed. "Come on Aubrey, just one reading, won't you like to know what your future holds?" She asked.
