Aubrey

"Your ex boyfriend is a psychopath." Drex remarked, eyes glued to his phone, which he had been getting inner info from, Alec Bassino, a friend of his who had been long since taken from the normal side of Vino, to the darker side.

I scoffed, settling on the couch with my laptop on hand, deciding to kill the hours by working on a manuscript sent to me by one of my clients.

According to this Alec person, it turned out that Tyler was dropping bodies each day, he was killing without reason... All because his Parcel was stolen, which of course, I'm responsible for.

I'd been in and out of his own home in the compound a bunch of times. I knew where the safe was, it took me a little bit of extra time to open it, but I did.

I still wondered how I managed to pull it all off. At some point it seemed too easy. Like when I walked through without getting stopped or caught.

"I'm glad I got what I aimed for," I said. "He's probably just throwing tantrums, about the fact that someone got under his nose."

"If that's tantrums, I don't want to know what he's like, when he's actually angry. Its been two days, still, he's killing people like he created them? What the fuck." Drexel raised his brows in amusement.

According to Alec, it had been fifteen bodies now, at least the one that was seen. I can't say I wasn't worried, I am, if Tyler continues like this, he would end the lives of everyone in Vino, without noticing.

So, my first plan had taken place already, I stole his parcel and I have it, lying next to me in Drexel's guest room. I can't take my eyes off that parcel, if anything happens to it, I know I'm cooked.

I haven't reached out to Tyler yet, I just couldn't bring myself to do so. I was still very pissed at what he did to me, I didn't think I would be able to give him a fake smile yet, seeing as I hate him.

"Tyler needs to be taught a lesson, I'm just starting with him, when I'm done, he'll be very very sorry." I said.

"You really hate this guy don't you?"

"With every single fibre joining my body together." I said.

Drexel smiled. "I'm so glad I have my best friend back." He plopped down on the couch opposite me.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm running late, I have a meeting with a publisher in like an hour."

"Just finish up with the little you can on the manuscript and let me know when you're ready. I can drop you off."

"This is amazing." I said, in awe of what I just read.

Jensen was a romance author, probably one of the best the book universe had right now, and when I say the guy is good... Trust me, he's the best.

I looked at the book in my palms. "The fact that you pictured and described me as the lead character, and the fact that you named her after me is so amazing, honestly, I'm honored."

Jensen's grin widened, as he raised his brows. "You just seem like the perfect girl for the lead role. Aubrey's character is so fierce and nice, just like you."

"I don't even know what to say."

"You can start by taking it back home and finishing it, it would be a pleasure to know what you think of it before it hits the market."

"Of course—definitely—definitely. I'd love to." I said.

Few minutes after so many small talks, tea and coffee... I left the comfy confinement of his office.
