Natasha
Natasha doesn't like showing fear. She is a trained spy, she has no fear. Or so she thought. It was October 31st and Clint wanted to do something fun, so he brought up an idea of going to a haunted house. Clint waited for everyone's response, everyone being Tony, Sam, Wanda, Vision, and of course Natasha. Tony called Friday to start the car while Sam called shotgun. Wanda and Vision gave each other a look and agree. While Natasha slightly nodded her head, not fully okay with the idea. Of course, she wasn't going to show her uncertainness. In the car, Natasha had an uneasy feeling but told her self to 'get a damn grip' she reminded herself she a strong independent woman and she has been through worse.-
When they reached the haunted house, Sam was the first one to get out of the car. Clint questioned why was the place was empty but then he realized that Tony Stark was there with them and probably called to clear the whole thing out. Wanda and Vision walk shoulder to shoulder making their way to the entrance. Tony and Clint were laughing it up watching Sam impatiently wait for all of them. Meanwhile, Nat was walking slowly trying to not turn around and drive away. She can do this, she has been through worse, she kept reminding herself.
"Romanoff. C'mon, the fun awaits." Tony looked back with a smirk in his face as he saw the uneasiness in hers.
Natasha picked up her pace and found herself with the group entering the haunted house. Nat's heart picked up the pace as well, she felt it pounding and was afraid they would hear it. Sam was the first one in the line that was created, then came Clint, Vision, Wanda, Tony, and Natasha. Tony moved to the side and pulled Natasha to be in front of him. He didn't want anyone to scare her from the back but more importantly, he wanted to see her every reaction. The room was loud and dark, Natasha was already clenching her fist. A light flashed and the demon looking girl popped out from the wall. Natasha shut her eyes, screaming along with Wanda and Sam. Vision didn't understand how and where she came from and Tony just gave a little jump but no scream. While Clint just laughed at the little girl and at Sam screaming. They make their way into another room instead it had a bit more of light. With her fist clenched to her side, Natasha's eyes moved frantically trying to find where the person was going to come from.
A bed was placed in the exact middle of the room which made Nat nausea. She knew something was going to pop up and tried to prepare herself. Keyword tried. The lights started flashing when they started walking. Vision had his arms behind his back and Wanda seeing this quickly took them. Sam made Clint go in front and hid his face behind his shoulder. Tony was just waiting for Natasha to get scared again. Poor Natasha felt her clenched fist become clammy with every step.
"Just come out! Show yourself you ass!" Natasha yelled at the bed. She wanted to get this over with.
Nothing happened, the lights even stopped flashing. They were almost to the other room, Natasha looked at the bed one last time and a soft slight smile played on her lips. Clint was about to take a step to the other room and out came a man in a latex suit and mask with long fingers from a picture hung from the wall. Wanda lost her balance since it popped out in between the back of her head and right in front of Natasha. Nat wasn't even thinking, it was as if her fist had a mind of their own. So, unintentionally Natasha punched the man straight in the face. She didn't stop there, of course not. A trained assassin was acting on fear, her instincts kicked in big time. Natasha dragged the man from the little painting and was about to drop kick him. Tony quickly grabbed Natasha and made her look at him.
"Calm down there tiger. Clint stop laughing and go check on the man." Tony himself was trying to hold in a laugh.
Her mind clicked back and she crouched down next to the man. She heard Sam groan that he wasn't looking at what was going on. Clint was still laughing trying to check on the man.
"I am so sorry. You popped out of nowhere. My instincts just kicked in." Natasha said to the man while Clint was taking off his mask. He wasn't roughed up badly, just a busted lip.
"Word of advice, you should probably start thinking of other professions that don't put you in harm." Vision's voice was heard telling the man. Natasha broke into a smile with what Vision said.
"Ma'am, we are going to ask you and your party to leave. I mean I know you're the Avengers and all but my boss would kill me if I let you guys stay after that whole fiasco." A different voice announced on a speaker to the group of heroes but especially to Miss Natasha Romanoff.
"Hey, Jimbo. Please tell me you guys have cameras that recorded that." Tony spoke into the room, searching for cameras in dark corners.
"Yes. Of course, Mr. Stark sir."
"I will like a copy of that. Actually, make it ten." Tony snapped his fingers pointing at random corners, hoping he looked cool in the video.
Natasha took a deep breath, knowing that video is going to be a big hit back at the compound. She felt her heart slow down and beat normally. Nat was happy to walk away from that terrible place, she wondered why in the world would anyone go in there and actually have fun or enjoy it. She couldn't understand and maybe she never will. She did know one thing, next Halloween she is staying at home.
