"I'm surprised you got away," Holloway frowns and looks at me as I sit at Charlie's desk. I shrug.

"New Yorkers know how to get out of tough situations," I smile. She doesn't smile back. Charlie and Reese exchange a glance. I think both of them think I'm delirious. I look around. There's only two other people other than us four. Two male janitors doing the night shift.

"They checked the warehouse and didn't find anything but someone was definitely there," Charlie tells me. His hand reaches for mine underneath the desk. I take it mine. For the past two hours we've been inseparable.

"So he didn't actually break a pattern, it was your sister?" Reese asks. I nod.

"She must have helped me out and tried to save me, but maybe she knew someone would find me," I shrug. I look down. I don't know why my sister left me. I know that she wouldn't leave me for just any reason.

"Are you two staying the night here then?" Holloway asks as she stands up gabbing her things in haste. Charlie nods.

"I'll probably stay along too," Reese sighs.

"Well I better get back-" before Holloway can finish all of the lights go out. We sit in the dark with the lights from the city shining in through the windows.

"Is there a storm outside?" Reese whispers. We all know there isn't but any explanation would do.

"Please say this floor is haunted," I stand up slowly. Soon we all are standing. Charlie, Reese and Holloway have their guns loaded and ready. I grab the scissors off of Charlie's desk. The two janitors are walking quickly towards us. Fear is spread across their faces. Minutes go by with out any movement or noise.

Lights from the cars below give an eerie glow as they drive by. The only sound is their engines and the elevator humming to life as if begins it's ascent up to us.

Fear grips me to the floor as we all hear the elevator ding open.

I hold my breath as I see a man carrying a strange box steps out. He sees us and jumps slightly. His box falls out off his hand.

"Jesus! I just came to fix the power," he holds up his hands. We all relax a bit.

Suddenly a loud gunshot rings in my ears and I watch one of the janitors fall to the ground clutching his chest. The janitor was standing right behind Charlie. I whirl around and see a man with a gun. But it isn't Fred. The second janitor hides under a desk.

I look back at the electrician. He also has a gun. He aims it at Charlie. I grab Charlie and shove him under the desk. The scissor in my hands cuts my arm but it's no really a deep cut. I throw it at one of the men in vain. Holloway shoots at the electrician while Reese shoots at the man in the back.

Soon both men are dead. I hold Charlie down. I watch Holloway come towards us.

"Fred Sherman, rich man, he probably hired hit men," she sighs. I look at her wildly.

"Ya think!?" I gasp out. I help Charlie up from under the desk. He looks to Reese. She nods and sits down in a chair. The lights flicker back on.

"So a rich serial killer, could this get any better?" I sigh.

"A rich serial killer who wants revenge on both of us," Charlie leans against the desk.

The sound of footsteps on the stairs make us all turn and look. Policemen and women come ready to shoot. They see the three dead men. A paramedic goes to the cowering janitor under the desk. Another one comes to us.

Millions of questions are poured out. No one know the answers. The paramedic wraps my arm up.

"How did you get cut?" Holloway asks.

"Well um I kinda fell on the scissor with my arm," I grimace.

"So New Yorkers do do it a little differently," she smirks. I smile and nod. I look over to Charlie. Holloway looks at me.

"He loves you ya know, but I would be careful with what you do," she whispers. I look at her. Her face tells me she knows more than I do. I'm about to ask her when her phone rings. She answers.

"Agent Holloway," she says sternly. Her eyes brighten up and she looks at me.

"Thank you Agent," she smiles and hangs up.

"What?" I look at her happiness with caution. She might still dislike me.

"We might have found the killer," she smiles and walks over to Charlie and Reese. I smile as relief spreads across their faces. Charlie comes over to me.

"Reese is going to take you to her place for the night, Holloway and I are going to make sure it's him," he smiles. I hug him.

"Be careful," I breathe into his shoulder.

"You know I will be," he says and lets go.

I watch him and Holloway leave to the elevators. Reese comes up behind me and leads me to the other elevator. I catch one last glance at the deep red hair on Charlie's head before his elevator closes.

"They'll catch him," Reese assures me.

"I know," I smile and watch the elevator doors close. It could all end by tomorrow morning.

Silence takes us over as we walk out of the elevator and to Reese's car. She unlocks it and we climb in.

"What's your first name?" I ask her. She looks at me strangely but then smiles.

"Danny," she nods and starts the car. Minutes later we are outside her house door. She opens it and let's me in. Her apartment is small but for one person it's a pretty good size.

"Not exactly Charlie's mansion but I figure it would do," Danny smiles. I look back and smile. She grabs me blankets and brings them to the living room. I look down and realize I'm still in the running shorts and shirt the girl from the restaurant gave me. I actually like them.

"Thank you Danny," I say as I lay out the blankets and pillows.

"You are welcome," she smiles. Her phone rings and she takes it out of her pocket.

"Crews how is it-" she begins but stops and her face becomes scared. She hands the phone to me. I put it to my ear.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Anna," Fred's voice tuts. A knot in my stomach begins to tighten.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"I have an FBI agent and Charlie tied up, I will kill them if you don't meet me," I can hear him smile.

"If you touch them I will kill you," I growl.

"Then meet me at the bridge, I'll bring them if you bring yourself and no one else," Fred sneers.

"Fine, I'll be there at 3," I look at the clock. It's 2:30.

"See you soon," he hisses and hangs up. I look to Danny.

"I have to go get them," I say. She shakes her head.

"No, we can go get them," she says. I look at her. She will follow me if I go alone.

"Fine lets go , I have a demon to drag to hell."
