Chapter 5

At one if Hetty's safe houses.

Kensi's POV

We walked up the steps to one of Hetty's safe houses. It was from our last undercover mission as a married couple. That was my favorite one. I just wish it was real. Stop he's my partner. We didn't get our stuff from the house. Hetty gave it to us as an emergency. It sure came in handy this time. We last used it like three weeks ago.

"Remember where the key is" I asked Deeks. " Yep" he said as he bent over to get it out from underneath the porch swing. I couldn't help but look. He stood back up and turned to me. I quickly looked up.

" Fern I know you were staring" he said. Damn it. " I wasn't " I said

" Ok fern whatever you say" he said. I punched him in the arm. He yelped.

" Ow what was that for oh wait don't say it. That's for calling me fern" he said as he mocked me about the fern part. " Really Deeks can we just go inside" I said. I was getting tired of standing outside and I was hungry. I just wanted to order some takeout.

" Sure thing" he said as he turned around and unlocked the door. We walked inside. I suddenly noticed all the ashes. I really need to get a shower and get into some clean clothes. I don't want to get the couch all dirty.

" Uh I need a shower" I said. " Yeah me too" Deeks said. " Ok who's first or do you wanna get one at the same time" he said clearly trying to push my buttons.

" Deeks!" I yelled. Of course he thinks it's even more funny when I get mad at him. " I'm just saying we could save a lot more water if we take one at the same time" he said. I want to just give in but I can't. He's my partner. " I M not even going say anything" I said.

" Because you know I'm right" he said. He is so cute when he's being a smart ass. I have only ever told Nell. " No I'm pretty sure you hit your head when you jumped out of the car" I said feeling pretty proud of myself.

" Oh come on you know you want to" he said. I really did want to but he's my partner.

" Um eww now I know you hit your head. Now stop before I punch you in the nose" I say.

" Stopping" he says with that little smirk that I love

" Better be" I say as I walk off.

" There's always tomorrow princess" I hear him say behind me. I walk over and punch him in the shoulder. " There might not be a tomorrow if you keep it up" I say and walk back.

" Ow haha touché" I hear him say as I close the bathroom door.

I take a deep breathe. I hope they get Sanchez soon but at the same time I want to stay here with Deeks. I love him. I can't say that out loud or that would ruin everything. I know we have a thing, but what if I want more. That's the last thing I think about before I step into the steaming hot shower.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. My laptop is at my dad's and I was at my moms. Be patient with me on the Densi. I love it but I don't want to rush into it.
