Okay, this chapter takes a year after the last chapter, so Bakugou is 8, Present mic and Aizawa are 23, and they've bonded more as a family. I might put some one shot chapters about the fun things they did but right now im too excited bc this chapter is when the angst starts.

Also, as an apology, at the end of the chapter I'll put some photos of BNHA that I've collected over my long time obsession.

Enjoy 🖕🖕🖕

I was sitting on my couch reading some old book when the door opened. Weird, my parents already left for work an hour ago, and it wasn't like any of their friends were going to visit, so why did someone come in?

My senses went into overdrive as I tried to tell where the intruder was. I slowly slid off the couch and headed towards the kitchen, it was one of the many places in this house where a emergency button is placed. Now I finally get why we have one.

The kitchen was two rooms over from where I was reading, so I had to go through the lounge and game room, which both didn't have the button. Who designed this? (A/N I did and it's for the plot deal with it 😎).

I couldn't hear anything except my own footsteps as I crept through my house, first was the game room, which wasn't that big, only occupying a pool table and a Wii station forever loaded with Mario Cart, so it shouldn't be that hard to get through.

Emphasis on shouldn't.

The first step I took into the room I could tell it had been tampered with. While nothing on the surface had been touched, I knew there was something to watch me, or hurt me, in the room.

You see, when I first got here, I had searched through the entire house for possible escape exits, besides the front door, that I could get out from. I really didn't want to be adopted.

I had hidden a few stray weapons in areas around the house, don't ask how I got them, and so I can basically tell when there's something different about a room.

My parents call it my own quirk, I call it observational skills.

Anyway, I would have to search the room to find out exactly where the trap is, but I don't exactly have the time for that, so the best I can do is avoid the areas that were obviously tampered with. That in itself could be a trap but I don't have the time to think about that, if this proved anything it's that someone is indeed in the house.

That someone is trying to kill me.

I walked around the far left side of the room, occasionally dodging a few darts and arrows that sprang at me, Geez what are these people, assassins from Indiana Jones? Fucking weak.

I easily got through that room and rushed into the lounge which was, as expected, stock-full of dangerous machinery and traps to kill me on the spot.

Well fuck, today's just getting better and better.

The first trap was like the last rooms trap, so I easily got through that one, but then next one was less predictable. It kinda acted like one of those swinging axe blades except faster, and stronger, and it looked freshly tested.

Not helping my stomach here guys.

I waited for a few seconds, trying to figure out the perfect way to get around this instant kill, when suddenly a quiet voice whispered from behind me "Go" and my body went. It felt otherworldly, like I was being possessed, but I knew I could control myself fine, I just knew I had to go at that moment or else I would die.

Sure enough, not one second later a knife flew past my head, grazing the underside of my hair and sending its shavings off everywhere. I would've groaned, but y'know, I'm kinda in the middle of something. I couldn't even stop to see who told me to go before I was thrown into a whole plethora of continuous trap-killy-machines at my disposal.

Soon enough, I made it half-way across the room, finally getting a break from constant movement, before I had to dive behind a pink couch in order to get away from one more trap. Seriously, where do villains get the funds for these kind of things.

Whatever Katsuki, all you have to do is get past the other half of this room, not that hard. (A/N Y'ALL WHILE I WAS WRITING THIS I WAS LOOKING AT THE READS AND SAW 66 READS AND WAS LIKE OMG NO BUT YES)

Well, that was a lie.

As soon as I poked my head out from behind the couch a gun cocked so I just kinda... didn't look. I couldn't see who was there, what they looked like, or how many there were, but I needed to move. I could hear heavy footsteps heading in my direction, it wouldn't be long before it reached me and I would have nowhere else to run.

I need a plan and I need it now.

Maybe I could just run, my bodys really small so it shouldn't be too hard to slip past the guy coming at me, but there may be other's around, or other's following the guy coming for me, I can't think rashly.

Talk about an inner monologue.

Anyway, the person was about three seconds away from me, so, like all smart people, I bolted.

I really couldn't do much other than that, it's not like I had a weapo-- oh my god I'm so dumb. There's literally like twenty different knives, bats or other destructive objects scattered around and I literally was thinking about it earlier wow way to go stupid stupid stupid--

As soon as I came out from behind the couch a gun fired at me. Either the shooter had really bad aim or I was just lucky, the bullet missed me and I scampered across the room. I quickly pressed a button and out slid a kitchen knife. The same one that had mysteriously dissappeared about a month into my arrival.

Whoopsie.

I turned around, knife at the ready, to see four people spread out across the room. One, the one who and been coming at me, was meaty and thicc, tall and looked to be more brawn than brain.

The next one, the one with the gun, was skinny and basically the opposite of thicc boi, he was also wearing some kind of goggles that were tinted green, blocking some of his face.

The third was a girl, she was holding a bat and had a shotgun strapped to her back. Her chest fat seemed to jiggle with every breath, as much as that disgusted me, and her long hair was tied into a pony tail.

The last one was hiding in a corner, blending in with the shadows, which covered basically his entire body. All I could tell about him was that he was relatively short and he was a guy.

They were all staring at me with such intensity that I could've just melted into my grave right then and there. (A/N this isn't relevant but "peace sign" just came on and oof guys plz help).

My mind went blank for about five seconds before thicc boi charged me, which made me switch into my fight or flight mode.

;)
