"So, you're the one who Donghyuck always talks about?" Mark shot his head up, surprised at such a fact.

"Dude! Shut up!" Donghyuck scolded his older brother quietly, smacking him.

His brother could only laugh, watching Donghyuck's cheeks turning red due to the embarrassment.

"Are you sure that's me?" Mark asked, jokingly. He was sure Donghyuck would never talk about him, after all, they were enemies.

"Well, you're Mark, right?" The older male asked, smiling mischievously.

Mark avoided Donghyuck's gaze, his heart strangely racing at the statement. "All of your friends have talked about you before! Stop acting weird!" He thought to himself,

He peeked at Donghyuck, "But he's.. Different,"

"Ah, I'm Taeyong," The older one introduced himself, stretching his hand out to Mark.

"Mark," He shook Taeyong's hand.

"You remind me of someone," Taeyong said, wanting to put his curiosity at ease.

"Johnny..?" Mark trailed off,
"Oh? You're his younger brother?"
"Yeah?"

Taeyong nodded in satisfaction, pulling his phone out with a smirk.

"So, what happened out there?" Donghyuck asked, jumping straight into the point.

Mark bit his lip, unsure if he should be talking about such a sensitive topic. He felt ashamed that he couldn't fight back.

"I'll go get a drink for you," Taeyong smiled and left to the kitchen after reading the atmosphere.

Mark stared at Donghyuck who was eagerly waiting for his answer and "No," wasn't a choice for Mark when those soft eyes were looking at him.

"He is my father, unfortunately," Mark sighed,

"My parents left me and my older brother a few years ago and it's been really hard on us especially Johnny, he's sacrificed a lot to help me out and it sucks when I can't help,"

Mark was beginning to have those terrible feelings to sink into him and he hadn't pushed away any of them,

"Sometimes, I would skip breakfast to safe money," Mark smiled to himself, knowing his efforts were plain useless.

He let his mind tell him the ugly lies he believed in, how he was trash and everything but beneficial or even worth it.

For years, he had held everything in for the sake of not bothering Johnny. He didn't want to be one of the things on his overfilling plate.

"Mark," Donghyuck saw the tears welling up in Mark's eyes. He felt terrible,

He stood up from his seat, he hadn't any idea what he was doing, he hadn't thought about it. His feet was only pulling him towards Mark.

"Ye-" Mark was cut off when he felt Donghyuck's warmth wrapping around him.

"Don't cry," Donghyuck comforted, knowing Mark's feelings all too well.

Mark sat there, letting Donghyuck hold him close. The tears he had held in for so long finally were set free, the tears he held in for the sake of being a "man,"

"I'm sorry," He managed to say in between his sobs as he cried into Donghyuck's shoulders.

"What on the absolute fuck am I doing?" Donghyuck thought to himself, his rival, or at least he thought he is, was in his arms.

He paid no attention to why he was doing so. He only focused on comforting Mark,

He had actually taken interest in Mark ever since he helped him when he fell that day.

It was a soft and caring side he had longed for from someone but of course, he would never bring himself to think about his feelings for Mark.

"You feeling better there, buddy?" Donghyuck asked, pulling away from Mark and wiping his tears.

Mark nodded, his lips formed a soft smile without him knowing. "Yeah, I am," He replied with hiccups interrupting him.

"I'm glad," Donghyuck smiled back, cupping Mark's cheek.

The two didn't say anything, they were far too busy drowning into each other's beauty.

Mark's eyes travelled from Donghyuck's eyes to his lips, everything fell into place perfectly like a puzzle, forming a beautiful artwork.

Without realising, the seedling was easily growing once again under Mark's cap.

Mark leaned closer to Donghyuck, ignoring how fast his heart was beating,

Donghyuck watched as Mark got closer to him, his gaze only being able to fall onto Mark's lips. He shut his eyes, expecting a kiss.

And they leaned closer and closer,

"Hey, Donghyuck-" Taeyong entered the room with a tray of drinks, his smile fading away as he saw the two.

Donghyuck looked at his older brother and back at Mark, finally realising how close they were.

"Stay away!" Donghyuck pushed Mark away and stormed out of the room, stomping up the stairs and slamming his door shut.

Mark was surprised, not knowing what to think. He sat there, still processing what just happened.

"Oops.. Sorry.." Taeyong laughed nervously, setting the tray down onto the table,

"It's.."

"Okay,"
