Mark dragged himself to school despite the embarrassment telling him not to.

He entered the classroom, he met with Donghyuck's eyes but quickly looked away. Not being able to bear the pain of the heartbreak,

He took his seat, resting his head on the table again. All his friends flooded him with greetings and questions but he ignored them.

Until he heard the chair being pushed from the corner of the classroom.

He mentally sighed, knowing that Donghyuck was probably going to approach him again.

But then.. he didn't.

He lifted his head up slightly, peeking to see what was taking Donghyuck so long to arrive at their seat.

But he saw him leaving the room instead which made him sadder. He immediately sat up, wondering why he had cared so little.

Maybe he was right. Maybe Donghyuck didn't have feelings for him at all and he was just being dumb.

"Do you.. actually hate Donghyuck?" Renjun asked, knowing that Mark saw Donghyuck take his leave.

Mark only glanced at Renjun before he continued to rest his head on the table again, bathing in heartbreak.

Renjun didn't want to force the answer out of Mark and stood up from his seat, he decided to go look for Donghyuck to discuss the problem.

Jaemin and Jeno tried their best to talk to Mark but their attempts were useless.

They two were left there, running out of options to make him feel better.

Jaemin looked at the stem wrapped around Mark's ear, "Jeno.."

"It really is dying.."

Mark walked out of the classroom. He didn't want to eat at the cafeteria. The sight of the two "lovebirds" were only going to make him lose his appetite.

Yet, it was the only place his feet would actually take him.

He arrived at the cafeteria and looked at the table they would usually meet up,

He was surprised to see Donghyuck absent from the group. He tilted his head and approached them,

"Oh! Mark!" Chenle happily waved at the older one who only flashed a soft smile,

"Where's Donghyuck?" Mark asked, diving down right into his point because he didn't want to stay for long.

"He's.. not going to eat with us today.. or the next," Renjun replied, sad about the news himself as well.

"Why?" Mark asked, more curious to as of what could have caused his actions.

"Why are you asking me? Why don't you go talk to Donghyuck? Why aren't you doing anything?" Renjun thought,

As much as he wanted to scream the words at the older one. He couldn't, he knew he couldn't.

Mark stood there, waiting for Renjun's answer just like the rest on the table but he was having trouble replying as obviously shown.

"It's fine," Mark turned his back on the group and began to walk away, worries about Donghyuck began to pile up.

"Mark, please stay." Renjun stood up from his chair, speaking up before Mark could take another step further.

"Please," His eyes were begging to Mark.

Mark looked over his shoulder, pondering about his choice of action.

He sighed and walked towards the group of friends and sat beside Chenle, not that he had anywhere else to go anyway.

"Thank you," Renjun smiled,

Mark nodded, not knowing what to say.

"Alright, the mood sucks ass so I'm making it better!" Jisung claimed,

"Excuse me, ass? Did you just cuss?" Jaemin asked, his tone showed his displeasure with the younger one cussing.

"I did not raise my son in such conditions. I, Na Jaemin, has failed as a parent," Jaemin clutched his chest dramatically before he proceeded to cry on Jeno's shoulder.

Everyone burst into laughter, excluding Mark.

He only smiled softly watching the scene. Renjun was feeling better at the sight of his friend's smile,

But he was worried about Donghyuck too.

Donghyuck stood by the cafeteria entrance, seeing that Mark did decide to sit with them broke him.

It made him feel like Mark despised him.

He smiled to himself, forcing himself to believe that it is for the best.

He simply walked away from the cafeteria before his heart were to be in more pain.
