"Mark, get up," Mark fluttered his eyes open, rubbing them with his fists.

"We're here," He identified the voice that was speaking, he sat up properly on the car seat.

"Thanks, Johnny," Mark thanked his older brother, pulling the straps of his bag onto his shoulders.

"You should really stop sleeping late, it's not going to help you," Johnny spoke while arranging his younger brother's hair,

"I'm trying," Mark smiled, getting off his older brother's car.

"I'll see you later!" Mark waved at this brother before running off towards the main entrance.

He walked down the school hallway, still quite dazed after just waking up from his nap.

"Mark!" Mark was startled by the loud boy suddenly approaching him with a bright smile,

"Hey, Chenle, you're quite excited for the new term," Mark smiled softly at the sight of his junior,

"Obviously! I'm in the same class as my crush I can't believe it!" Chenle squealed, his heart almost bursting in joy at the thoughts of his one and only.

"You could just call him Jisung," Mark chuckled as his junior went on about his crush,

Mark parted ways with Chenle when he entered his classroom, he grabbed the seat with at the back by the window.

Simultaneously, the two boys placed their hand on the same seat.

Mark looked up and saw a male with orange hair, clearly unhappy with "his" seat taken.

"I'm sorry but this is my seat," Mark flashed a friendly smile but the male was stubborn,

"The last time I checked, I don't see this property belonging to you," He replied, pulling the chair away from Mark.

Mark raised his brows, surprised at such a rude answer, "But it doesn't belong to you either," Mark said, grabbing the chair away from the rude student.

"And I was assigned to sit here, every term," Mark added, hoping he was able to win this childish war for a seat, not that he knew it was childish though.

"Well, not this term anymore," The male slipped his bag off his shoulders and dumped it onto the chair, claiming the chair.

"From now on, it's mine so you can go ahead and cry about it somewhere else," He smiled, sitting down on what was now his seat apparently.

Mark was irked by his attitude but he decided to give it up already, exhausted with dealing with him.

Instead, he sat next to Renjun who was delighted to see the older one, "Hey!" He greeted with a sweet smile.

"Hey.." Mark quietly greeted, sitting down next to Renjun, letting out a heavy sigh. He used his bag as a pillow to bury his face.

"What's up?" Renjun asked, debating if he should pat Mark's head.

"First, I'm exhausted and some headass robbed me of my seat," Mark replied, lifting his head up from his bag and glaring at the rude student from earlier who was carving something onto his chair.

Renjun's eyes widened in shock, not believing if he really was who he thought he was. "Lee Donghyuck?" Renjun recognised his friend's face.

He was definitely convinced it was him, especially when he stole Mark's seat, that was absolutely something he would do.

"Who now?" Mark asked, looking back at his friend.

"Lee Donghyuck, a friend of mine from my childhood, he moved away 2 years ago," Renjun briefly explained, fascinated to see his old friend.

"Ugh, I can't believe the two most annoying people know each other," Mark groaned, earning a smack from Renjun who was not happy with Mark's comment,

"Shut up, Mark. Say that to someone who cares. That doesn't even sound right coming from you," Renjun's attention returned to his homework that he didn't bother completing during school break,

"I'll go talk to him later," Renjun smiled to himself, glad to see his friend.

Mark, on the other hand, disapproved the idea but he was far too tired to start another argument.
