“I can’t believe you guys rented a limo for us to get to the restaurant that we could walk to.” Prissy says. “SHUT UP IT’S A LIMO!” Lani yells and she jumps around. “This is so cool. You are amazing.” Lani says pointing to Ryan and dom. They arrive at a little restaurant lani loves to go. They get an outside table and order their food.
“I just love it here.” Lani says taking a bite of her burger. The check comes and Ryan reaches for his wallet. Lani snatches the check off the table and stands up. “Let me pay.” Ryan says while pulling out money. “No, I’m paying.” Lani says. “She isn’t going to let you pay. This is her favorite place because she says this is where all the happy people are.” Prissy says to Ryan. “I’m paying, that’s final.” Lani says. lani puts the money on the table and walks out the resturant. prissy and dom leave for their part of the date while lani and ryan stroll in the other direction.
“I can’t believe I let you pay.” Ryan says as they walk down the street. “Its fine you can pay now.” “Where are we going now?” Ryan asks. “Well we can get ice cream. I like ice cream.” Lani says a huge grin on her face. “Fine, and I forgot to do something hold on.” Ryan and Lani stops. Ryan takes her hand and kisses it while watching her. Then he curtsies and says "you looks amazing." she blushes and he speaks up again. “nice haircut, but mine is better,” Causing Lani to burst out laughing. Lani leads him into a cold stones and they walk to the front.
“Welcome to cold stones.” A girl from behind the counter says. “Hey Trish. This is Ryan, Ryan this is my cousin Trish.” “Hello, what would you like today?” Lani looks up at Ryan smiling. “Pistachio with almonds.” Ryan says grabbing Lani’s hand. “You know what I want” Trish nods and looks at Ryan. “What size will you like?” Lani goes to speak when Ryan interrupts her. “Ours for both of us. Please.”
Lani tugs on his hand and he looks at her. “I’m not going to eat all of that. I don’t want you wasting your money.” He smiles slowly, squeezing her hand. “Well there’s a small freezer in the hotel and I can always eat it.” She nods as Trish scoops out the ice cream. “You can sit. I’ll bring it to you since its empty in here anyway. they sit and lani starts to ask him about college. trish soons places the cups on the table smiling at them and walking back behind the counter.
Ryan takes a spoon of Ice cream as Lani begins to speak. "I know you’re wondering. Trish is my cousin. I was adopted. That explains the difference. My biological mom is Spanish while my adoptive mom is black." Ryan smiles, “does she treat you well?" Ryan asks as Lani nods. "Wonderful. I was 6 and my brother was 2. She can't have kids so she adopted us. Actually she was gonna take my brother but he threw a fit over me. So she took both of us. She says she wanted a younger child because he wouldnt be as damaged. but she's happy she took me too because I know how to care for my brother. He was really, anti-social. He didn’t talk to her until he was six."
"What about you. How was it when you were in Hawaii?" Ryan smiles "it really is beautiful. But I lived in Hilo. So it’s a bunch of grass. I learned a lot of traditions from my dad and mom. Dad was like a fob, and unlike everyone else’s parent, mom was actually pretty cool. I would love for you to meet her one day." Lani looked at Ryan’s cup. "Wanna go to the hotel?" she asks as she smiles up at him.
yayy! i kept telling myself i had to put it up and forgot. but here it is. short i know second part comming to a theatre near you =]
