 Hey guys I am so sorry for not updating, I hate to say it but homework is more important that Wattpad. I decided to give you a Halloween chapter to say I'm sorry (even if this has nothing to do with Halloween). I'm thinking about starting another story which sparks my interest more until I can think up a good plotline for this one as I am struggling to find ideas. hope you can understand if the chapters are slightly shorter than originally planned.

I was waiting at the only free table in the cafeteria for Emily and Palen to arrive, I had made some friends in my chosen class, such as a boy named Mathew, we both enjoyed working with electronics and metal which got us talking about forging.

When I spotted Emily and Palen chatting I waved them over, I hadn't gotten any lunch yet as we all agreed we would use Emily's food pouch which she always kept on her. I kept it simple and just got a sandwich, palen chose some ambrosia soup and Emily had some Xan food she had recently discovered called Xahylterre (pronounced za hiyl terre). 

we were just starting to enjoy ourselves when the other new kids started to walk towards us and then proceed to sit next to us. I remembered the warning Emily had given to us  about their aura so we all just continued to ignore them and spoke the ancient language of Xan instead.

So what do you guys make of them?  Emily asked, I could see what she meant about the strange aura.  I say we just leave them alone until we have more details  I suggested,  good idea supplied Palen. we continued to talk about random things until finally the younger new boy spoke.

"Hi" he said "HI" we chorused back watching their startled faces as we said it in synchronisation. "Where are you from?" the younger boy continued clearly curious. "Around" was Emily's reply. "what about you?" I followed "Where are you from?" "Nearby " the girl said copying our vague answer before the boy could speak.

I noticed Palen get very flustered at her speech and was secretly happy that he had a crush on someone else. It was hard on him when his love died and he kinda took it as a sign to never love again which was stupid. I saw Emily had the same reaction to Palen's blush and in that moment of eye contact we vowed to each other. No matter how much we hated these people, we would be nice to them, For Palen's sake.

"Hi! I'm Joel"
