Chapter Four
Do you know what a French kiss is?Multiple weeks had passed and maybe Billy had slightly forgotten about the civil at school thing.
They argued constantly at school but the moment they were dismissed,
It stopped.
Dakota rode and Billy walked right beside her, all the way home.Occasionally Josie would join and she clung off of Billy, like his arm was a comfort blanket after a nightmare.
He didn't seem to mind but Dakota did.She didn't want to admit it but she had grown some what fond of the boy, walking to and from school everyday with him.
It was their special little thing;
Dakota would even spend some of her afternoons with him, today was supposed to be one of those afternoons but Josie had decided to tag along with Tillie by her side. She felt sorry for the poor girl, Josie was so mean but Tillie followed her everywhere. Why? She didn't know but atleast if Billy was busy with Josie, Dakota could make time to spend with Tillie.
Josie had dragged Billy ahead of her and Dakota had gotten off her bike to walk slower with Tillie.
"Why do you hang out with her Tillie?
Shes so mean to you"Tillie sighed, like everyone in the world had asked her this question.
She smiled even though almost everyone could probably tell how sad her eyes looked.
"She's been my friend for a very long time, she never used to be like though.."
Dakota didn't ask anymore questions, her plan was to stay silent the rest of the way home but Tillie had to ask her own set of questions.
"So.. you any Billy huh?"
Whiplash was something she surprisingly managed to avoid even at the speed she had spun her head.
"What?! No! Did he say something?"
Tillie chuckled loud enough to stop Josie and Billy in their tracks,
"What are you two laughing about?"
Tillie looked at her feet, almost like she felt she wasn't good enough to look at Josie herself.
"None of your damned business Josie Pye"
If looks could kill Dakota would be dead,
The glare she had given the French girl was as cold as ice. Too cold for Dakota."I have an idea! Let's play spin the bottle! We'll gather up as many kids as we can to play!"
~
As much as I had protested to this stupid game,
I was forced to play.Unfortunately Anne wasn't allowed to come out but somehow Josie had rounded up a majority of the people I sat with to play.
She tried to explain the game to everyone although I knew it was directed at me.
How stupid was this girl, of course I knew how to play spin the bottle.. the French practically invented the game. She sat and passed the bottle to Ruby who spun first, much to her dismay it had not landed on Gilbert but another boy from class.. she stood and pecked him quickly and before you could blink she was sitting again.
