You're Part of My Crew Now, Princess

Unexpected Visitor

Lucy's heart pounded in her chest. She had never been more terrified in her life. She hadn't expected her father to send dogs after her when she ran away. She expected people, but not the wolf hybrids. A large group of guards had chased her through town, along with the five wolf hybrid dogs they released after her. She had managed to reach the docks and was hiding on a ship. Only then did she look at her wounded ankle. One of the wolf hybrids had managed to get a good nip at her ankle while she ran.

Lucy knew hiding on this ship wasn't a good idea, but it was better than returning to her father. Plus, it was the first place she found that seemed relatively safe. It was also one of the best looking places to hide. It was a rather large ship and was very empty.

Lucy was now crying on the floor with her back to a door. She had only wanted happiness, she was tired of her day to day routine. She couldn't stand being stuck in her cell-like room for another day. Her father was mean to her and often abused her. She was ignored for most of the day, but when she wasn't, her father was punishing her for something.

Lucy was grateful when she hadn't heard the guards or the wolf hybrids for half an hour. She decided it was safe, and they were gone. The only thing on Lucy's mind now was sleep. She was so tired. It had to around 3 am at this point. She looked around and spotted a bed, she limped over to the bed and laid down.

She was surprised by the smell of the bed. It smelt like a man. It was a very masculine, strong musky scent with a touch of dirt and grime. It wasn't prim and proper like all of the guys her father had forcefully introduced her to. She liked this smell, but the thought never crossed her mind that the owner of the bed would return soon. It never crossed her mind that the strong smell meant somebody had been here recently. No, these thoughts never crossed her mind before she fell asleep.

Lucy woke up when the light in the room turned on. She looked up and noticed a tall guy standing in the doorway. He was wearing a black tie back headband that showed off his spiky pink hair. He was wearing a black vest with gold trim on top that ran past his knees. The collar of the jacket was flipped up but was barely noticeable under his white scarf. She thought it was weird that he was wearing a scarf in the middle of summer. He was wearing baggy white pants that tucked into his high black boots. He also wore a brown leather belt around his waist that kept the top of his jacket partially open.

He finally turned around and made eye contact with Lucy. He looked kind of angry and confused. Lucy quickly jumped up and began to apologize.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to intrude on your ship. I'll just lea-" Lucy was on her way to the door when her ankle became very painful and she fell.

The mystery man ran up to her. Lucy got scared and tried to scoot away from him. He eventually trapped her against the wall.

"I don't want to hurt you. I just want to know if you are ok." The man had backed away a little but continued to hold his hand out to Lucy.

Lucy thought for a moment before accepting the hand, "Thank you, I'll be on my way now. Sorry for intruding."

"Are you sure your ok. How far away do you live? Do you want me to walk you home?" The man was keeping an eye on Lucy as she walked to the door.

"No I'm fine, but thank you."

"My names Natsu. What about you."

"Lucy H-. Lucy, just Lucy. And I'm fine, really. No need to worry, I don't live far from here."

"Why don't you stay the night, and return home in the morning?"

"Well, where would I sleep?"

"In my bed of course."
