"It's okay" he whispered

"Are you sure, it seems kind of . . . intimate" I asked

"It's okay" Shade repeated and brought his wrist to my mouth. I was starving and his blood smelled so good. I sunk my fangs deep into his wrist, drawing in the sweet liquid. It tasted different to human blood, more addictive. Unlike human blood, it did nothing to nourish me and only made me hungrier and hungrier. Before I knew what I was doing I was straddling Shade and drinking from his neck. He let out a moan, and so did I. His blood brought out the animal in me; the monster that wanted nothing but to feed. Shade gripped my back and pulled me hard against him. A low growl resonated from my chest. I sunk my fangs deeper into his neck. I just wanted more of him. So much more.

"Mmmm Lily" Shade moaned

"Lily" he said again, louder this time. I felt a stabbing pain in my chest. My fangs retracted and I quickly looked down to see a knife sticking out of my chest cavity.

"You always were my favourite" he whispered

I bolted up, sweat plastered to my neck and my breathing heavy. My hands instantly went to my stomach. As expected it was knife free. I covered my face with my hands and sobbed. I hated him so much. Shade was a monster, but the thing I hated about him the most, was the way he turned me into a monster. The sobs racked through my body, and tears streamed down my eyes. I would never be free of him. He would always have this hold over me.

My sobs broke off as a quiet knock sounded at my door. I quickly wiped my eyes

"C-come in" I called out in a shaky voice. The door opened and Tobias came in. he was wearing a black tee and blue pyjama pants. He was gorgeous. He was more than I could ever deserve.

"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly and sat down on the bed.

I nodded "It was just a bad dream" I replied in a hollow voice. He turned his head at me. If only he knew what a monster I was. He wouldn't look at me with such love, he would hate me. He reached out for me, but I avoided his touch.

"Please just don't" I begged. Tobias nodded and sighed, keeping his hands to himself.

"You know, if you would just let me help you" he whispered

"I don't need your help, I don't need anyone's help"

"You're so stubborn" he hissed

"Yeah well you can't take a hint, I don't want you, I rej-" in an instant Tobias held me against the wall by my shoulders, his eyes glowing a bright red

"Don't" he growled. I struggled against his grasp and refused to look him in the eyes. His grip was like iron and the more I struggled the more painful it was; I could do nothing to escape his anger.

"Please, it hurts" I sobbed. Tobias' eyes immediately changed back to their usual chocolate brown, and he released me, confusion clear in his eyes

"Lily, I'm so sorry" he pleaded and backed away from me. I repressed a whimper as pain flooded my shoulders. He had grabbed me so hard. It seemed like he was a different person. I backed away from him

"Get out" I spat harshly

"I didn't mean to" he replied sympathetically

"Get out!" I yelled

"I'm sorry" he whispered and quickly left the room. I sighed as the door shut. What the hell was that? One minute he was calm, and the next . . . . it was like he became a different person. I walked over to the window and pulled the curtain aside. It was morning. My mind wandered back to my dream. I shuddered. Out of both disgust and pleasure. I hated Shade, but I couldn't deny the way he'd made me feel. It wasn't love though, just sheer lust.
