"Here," he said, taking a red cup and mixing a few drinks together before handing it to me. I was aware that he was watching as I took a sip of the strong substance but nodded in approval, earning a wide grin from him, "good, right?" "Yeah, it's strong but I like it," I said and watched as he made one for himself, admiring him. He was wearing a fitted black t-shirt that clung to him in all the right places and tight jeans. "Matt doesn't like it, says it's too strong for him," he told me and I nodded and took another sip, trying not to make it obvious that I was staring. "I don't know how he can drink beer, it smells and tastes like shit," Josh commented. I knew Matt wasn't really into drinking at all and only really drank at parties. I was watching the way Josh's lips part when he takes a drink and couldn't help but think about how soft they probably were... "Is there something on me?" He asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Hm?" "You were staring," he laughed and I laughed awkwardly and shook my head, "Sorry," I mumbled and took a gulp of my drink.

Josh had a smirk plastered on his face as he watched me finish it and I coughed slightly at the burn. "Whoa, you good?" He asked rubbing my back lightly, which sent shivers up my spine. "Yeah, just a bit of a burn. Would you mind making me another one?" I asked and he did, showing me how to make it myself for future parties where I won't have him there to help. By the time I was on my third, I was pretty buzzed and found pretty much everything that came out of Josh's mouth funny without registering what he even said. Josh is an overly social person so I wasn't sure if he was buzzed or just being himself. "I'm gonna get stoned with some friends, you wanna come?" He asked, throwing his cup out and staring at me expectantly. As much as I wanted to say no, it was Josh and I couldn't help my curiosity. I nodded and smiled when he took me by the hand and led me out into the backyard where there was a circle of people on the grass just beyond where the porch light reached.

"Ramsay's got a girl," a guy with short, dark hair pointed out as he sat in between him and a redhead girl. I stood there for a second, not knowing what to do before Josh pulled me down into his lap. "Sure do, this is Lainey," he said, then whispered in my ear quietly, "just go with it," I nodded and leaned into him, enjoying our position. A joint was being passed around the circle and I started to get nervous the closer it came to us. The redhead handed it to me and Josh took it out of my hands, "this is how you do it," he said before showing me how to inhale it then exhaled it slowly before handing it back to me and helped me with it. I ended up coughing the first time and he laughed, "no you have to breathe it in really deep," he said and held it while I tried again, this time getting it right and he handed it to the guy beside him and watched as I exhaled. It didn't take many more hits before I felt light and stress-free and happy. I was giggly and after a while I didn't need Josh to help me at all which I was very proud of and he kissed me on the cheek; obviously it had affected him too.

"So how long have you two been a thing?" A guy with long, dirty blonde hair and a tattoo on his neck asked us from across the circle. Josh just smirked and shrugged and I giggled. He put his arm around my front, holding me right against him. I looked up at him and his eyes were on my lips and I smiled as he started leaning in, my eyes closing when I felt his lips on mine. Maybe it was the drugs and the alcohol or maybe just my excitement and the adrenaline shooting through me but I eagerly opened my mouth and it took no time for his tongue to enter. The tongue ring. Oh god, the tongue ring. How could I forget?
