Chloe's Point of View:
It's our dismissal time, i threw my books to my locker and waited impatiently for Karmin (My bestfriend) to finish stuffing her own things at her locker. I wanna get home as soon as possible since i'm very excited to tell my mom that i am the top of our class, again.
"Chloe, why don't we stop by at the mall to celebrate your achievement?" Karmin suggested as we walk out of the school.
"Erm, i don't know Kar.." I answered. I want to go and celebrate with her but i'm not sure cause i didn't ask permission from my mom.
"C'mon Chloe! It'll be fun!" She said excitedly and grabbed my arm.
I don't have any chance to say no, because knowing Karmin, she likes to get things on her way.
We arrived at the mall and went straight to the Music Store. If we have any similarities, it is our love for music.
We glanced at the vast range of albums in front of us. I looked at some, eyeing the songs.
"Got what you want butthead?" Karmin suddenly appeared from nowhere causing me to be startled.
"Oh my god Karmin! I nearly had a heart attack!" I took a deep breath and relaxed myself again.
Karmin chuckled. "I'm sorry. So, have you picked one yet?"
"I'm not really going to buy Kar. I'm saving up for something."
"Oh, okay. Wait here while i pay for this." She ordered while waving her pick.
I nodded my head as a response.
After buying some stuffs, Karmin and I went to McDonalds to eat.
"Karmin, whose album did you bought?" I asked while munching on some fries.
"S'not an album. It's an EP." She said. "From the band called 5 seconds of summer."
"Haven't heard about them before." I stated.
"Well honestly, they're new. I saw them from YouTube so I decided to buy their Somewhere New EP since they sound good." Kar explained.
I, myself, got interested. So i fished my phone out of my pocket and added "5 Seconds of Summer" to my list of things to do/research.
I arrived at our house at around 6:30 pm. I nervously walked inside and just what i am expecting, my mother stood at our living room with her hands on her waist.
"Caitlin Chloe. Take a seat. We have something to discuss." My mom said sternly.
My hands are shaking because of nervousness. I know that she's mad because she called me in my full name.
Mother sat on the other side of the couch and started to ask me questions. "Where did you go? Do you know what time is it? Why didn't you ask permission before going somewhere? Who are you with?"
"I went to the mall-"
She interuppted me. "With a boy?! Oh my gosh Chloe! How many times do i have to tell you that stay away from men?"
"I was with Karmin." I mumbled.
"Why are you with that Karmin girl again? Don't you ever befriend her! She might influence you with some shizz and distract you from your studies!" She stood up from the couch and jabbed me with her pointing finger.
"Mom! We went out to celebrate my achievement! I was the top of our class again!" I stated.
"Oh, you're the top? But your intelligence is useless because you don't remember my rules! Idiot." She shouted.
I bit my lip to prevent myself from crying. I ran up to my room, and that's when i broke down.
When will i ever be good enough?
Tears stream down on my face. I laid on my bed and unlocked my phone.
I went to YouTube and typed 5 Seconds of Summer on the search box.
My mood changed just by listening to their covers and original songs.
And that's when i started loving them.
