DATE: March 16th, Saturday

I woke up with my phone vibrating at my chest. I looked at the screen and it was just an alarm. I looked up the time and it’s 7 in the morning. I still have my headphones plucked at my ears and a few seconds more my battery will run out so I pulled out my headphones and reached the charger in my bag and placed it in the socket near my bed. I stood up and did some stretching. As I finish my stretching duties, I went to the bathroom and took a shower. I filled the tub with warm water and laid there for 15 minutes then scrubbed my body after. I rush through my closet and picked a white V-neck shirt, a pink checkered long sleeves, and black skinny jeans. I went back to the bathroom and held my blower and dried my hair.

It was 8 o’clock and mom called us for breakfast. When I reached the dining area, I was the only who hasn’t seated up yet. I went up to dad, mom, and Victoria to peck their temples and greeted them.

“Good morning!” I greeted.

“Good morning Xing-Xing!” Victoria greeted and kissed me on my right cheek.

“How was your night, son?” asked dad.

“It was…good.” I lied. I haven’t slept well.

“Ok. So, uhm, let’s eat our breakfast.” Mom broke up the dead air and we all start eating.

I finished mine in 20 minutes and went up to my room to fix my things. I unplugged my phone and put the charger in my bag. I went back to dining area to see if they are still eating. I saw nothing at the dining area. I looked in the living room and saw them.

“I’ll go ahead. I’ll be meeting my friends at the park and we’ll go to the bookstore and have fun later.” I said.

“Ok. But be safe.” Mom responded.

“Yes mom.”

“And don’t come home late.” Dad added.

“Yes dad. I will. See you later.”

“Xing-Xing, buy me sweets ok?” Victoria asked cutely.

“Of course I will. See you later.”

“Yey! Have fun Xing-Xing!” Victoria responded.

“Yixing wait.” Dad exclaimed.

“Yes dad?”

“Here’s 500,000 won ($500). Spend it wisely.” Dad said as he gave me my pocket money.

“Thanks dad. Have fun too.” I responded as I kissed their temples and ran up to the door.

I looked up my watched and it was 8:43. I was still early and it’s just 10 minutes to reach the park. I reached the park and saw that my friends are already there. They were playing like kids. They went to the slide, seesaw, the animals that kids were supposed kids to ride on. As I saw their faces with wide smiles, I felt sad due to the fact that in a few days, I can no longer see those smiles. It made my vision blurry and felt tears running down from my cheeks. I wipe them off using tip of my sleeves and rushed to my friends.

“Oh! Yixing is here!” Luhan exclaimed.

“Yixing-ge!” Tao greeted loudly.

“Hey. Wassup.” Kris greeted with a high five.

“Hi guys. Sorry to keep you waiting.” I responded.

“It’s ok Lay-Lay. Wait. Did you cry?” Luhan said.
