"I smell blood in here."

Once those words have left Jackson's mouth, Changsub and Sungjae automatically took their guns out.

Joy remained calm observing the guys. She's having a hunch on what's happening already but she pretended not knowing anything.

"What's happening?" She even made her voice sounds like panicking. Jackson gestured for her to stay quiet, the two guys dispersed around the house, with their guns on standby.

Jackson stayed with a gun to guard Joy who's just watching how they rummaged the whole house looking for something that Joy couldn't guess what.

Sungjae checked the room and came back sighing. "There's nothing suspicious inside." He said while putting his gun back.

Changsub also said the same thing after checking the rest of the house and the backyard. "Can someone please tell me what's happening?" Joy asked raising her brow and voice. Jackson scratched his head. "I guess, I made a mistake. We will wait for you outside." He said to Sungjae before dragging Changsub out of the house.

Joy glared at Sungjae but the latter just gave him an awkward smile. "What's with the guns?" She asked tilting her head to the side. Sungjae sighed before raising both his hands up. "I will explain everything later. But for now, I want you to lock the doors and windows. Don't let anyone in. Wait for me later. Okay?" He said before walking up to her. He patted her head before dashing away.

Joy could only watch him walk out of the house. She grunted after Sungjae finally left. She must've made a mistake by actually agreeing on this setup.

"Is he a secret agent or a police?" She asked herself going back to the kitchen. She then started pouring her frustration on the food that she'd cooked earlier.

If Sungjae is indeed a secret agent or police, she guess she's unlucky, funny how they ended up living together when they have a complete different line of jobs.

"Whatever." She mumbled eating away her thoughts. She doesn't want to think further since it's just giving her stress.

Sungjae and the other two came back to the headquarters. The others have been waiting for them. "Is your wife okay?" Ilhoon asked when the three of them have settled down. Although Sungjae's feeling a little fuzzy by the mention of wife, he answered the question by casually saying 'yes'.

"Good. The commander is a bit frustrated. He said this is the first time that this kind of killings have happened in Seoul." Ilhoon muttered thinking deeply. "And not to mention that the people who died are the ones who are wrecking havoc around the city." Peniel added showing everyone the pictures that the assigned operatives on the crime have taken.

Changsub grimaced upon seeing the pictures. He even made a gagging sound before handing it back to them. "Do you think that this is done by only one person?" He asked them with a furrowed brows. "I don't think so. These people are well skilled fighters since they grew up in the street." Hyunsik answered while flipping through the pictures.

"It's impossible that only one person have done this." He added while showing them the pictures. Changsub made face before snatching the pictures from Hyunsik and throwing it off back to the table. "Disgusting. Stop showing them to me." He even shook his body like he's getting rid of the pictures out of his whole system.
