Rising In The New Age

As Blaine was receiving his "gift" Shivani went to the Police Department not only to visit but to pick up her brother and take him home but instead of taking him directly home she takes him to Shady Plots they walk downstairs and hear Candy coo "ooh, I could do blood dripping out of the corners of your mouth make you even scarier"  and Blaine reply as the employee entrance door opens and Major and Chief walk in carrying a long black body bag "that's not really the object"  Shiv looks over at Steve and whispers "should I be worried!?!"  Steve replies in a low voice "of Candy ruining your husbands face or the two men carrying the body bag!?!"  she chuckles then jokes "his face!.... body bags are kinda the norm here.... unless it's for me!.... now I'm definitely worried!"  Steve chuckles with a smile "a warning your dad's still frozen"  Major groans as he and Chief carry the body bag over to the sliver table and lays it down upon it "I guess someone's gotta make an obligatory popsicle joke, right? no? when did it get so highbrow in here?"  Blaine says as he turns in the stool he was sitting in and walks over to the slab "hey, this isn't for my benefit, right? I still know you're not a zombie"  Major asks pointing out Blaine's "new look" "at least she got a little bit better at it!"  Shiv mutters to Steve who chuckles "but it's only a matter of time, though, isn't it? if we're on the same path as Ravi's test rat? we might as well get comfortable with it"  Blaine replies then he opens the body bag half way revealing his frozen father's face and says "oh! they're so cute when they're sleeping"  Shiv walks the rest of the way down the stairs and Steve follows her as she teasingly says "aren't they though!?!"  Blaine, Chief, Major and Candy look up at the two of them in surprise once they hear her voice "it's about time they noticed our arrival!"  she teases looking over at Steve who smiles as he replies "isn't it though!"  Blaine walks over to Shivani and kisses her lips Candy looks at Shiv with angry jealous eyes as Blaine smiles and claps Steve on the shoulder "so, I held up my end of the bargain you?"  Major says to Blaine who looks over at him and replies waving his hands up to his face "why do you think I went through all of this trouble?"  he looks over at Shiv who smiles at him and says "I'll have Steve help me with my daily chores"  he smiles at her then kisses her lips then Shiv, Steve, Chief, Blaine and Major head upstairs and Candy gets dressed in her own "Halloween" costume.... Steve does end up helping Shiv clean as well as all her other funeral home jobs and he finds that he was having just a little bit of fun doing so but then again ever since they were kids Shiv always had a way to make things fun and turn the most boring chores into an "adventure" it was no different now then it was then it was almost as though they were having their own small "live action" version of D & D as treasure hunters or what have you....
