The way back was mostly silent,until they got to a stop and Sorrow turned to Slazo. "Hey, so... thanks for helping me out there. Whatever happened, I'm sure you totally saved my ass." he laughed. "Hey, anytime mate. What was I supposed to do, just leave you to die?" Slazo left his response as ambiguous as possible. He still wasn't ready to talk about what happened, and felt guilty for having been the one to suggest even going into the ocean.They got back to the apartment, and Sorrow almost immediately headed to the couch to rest for a bit.
He woke up at 3 in the morning the next day to a splitting headache. He groaned and sat up, vision blurred and disjointed. Everything felt confusing.
Oh God, I'm gonna be stuck with this for a while, aren't I? He thought, holding his head. He remembered Slazo telling him that he was predicted to have the effects of the concussion for the next couple days. He went up to grab some Aspirin and water, stumbling as he got up. When he'd found them, he went back to the couch, messing around on his phone until he fell back asleep.
When he woke up again, he smelled coffee. He wandered over to the kitchen. He then remembered the milk situation from the first day. "Hey, I don't really drink black coffee. Mind if I go on over to the store real quick to pick up some milk?" Slazo cringed. "You sure you can make it? You nearly fell over just walking yesterday..." Sorrow thought for a bit. "I'll be fine, it's not too far from here."
He made his way on over to the Woolworth's nearby. His head was a bit clearer now than it'd been in days, so he started to notice things in his surroundings, one of which being a festive spider. Then he remembered. "Oh shit, it's Halloween today, isn't it?" He got an idea.
Slazo was going through his twitter feed when Sorrow got back, with a carton of milk and 2 pumpkins. "Hey, so I was thinking maybe we could carve pumpkins today?"
