"Sl..... Slazo?" Sorrow's eyes were just barely open, and pain was written on his bloodied face.
"Y-yeah, I'm here... it's gonna be fine, just hold on." Sorrow's eyes had started to glaze over, as Slazo called an ambulance. Slazo squeezed his hand, trying to keep him conscious. Tears were welling up in his eyes as sirens approached from the distance. He went back to the apartment alone. The room felt colder and emptier than it even did before Sorrow first came to visit. He started at the ceiling, taking shaky breaths as he tried to quiet his racing mind and get some sleep.
He got a call the next morning. Sorrow was in stable condition, but had had a nasty concussion. He went to go pick him up because Sorrow didn't have a car, and in his condition, he really shouldn't be driving anyways. He got to the room he was in and flicked the light on.
"Ah fuck, dude, please turn that light back off, this headache is a bitch" Sorrow said, holding his head.
"O-oh, yeah, uh sure." Slazo switched the lights back off, leaving the soft evening rays from the window as the only thing lighting the room. "What even happened last night? Was I really that drunk? Oh, shit, I didn't get arrested, did I?"
"You.. don't remember?" Slazo asked, a bit surprised. "Not really. I remember we were at the bar, and we went out to swim, and... that's about it. I swear, this must be the worst hangover I've ever had, I guess I'm really not much of a drinker."
Slazo looked down, not really wanting to talk about what happened in the ocean. "It's.. a long story. I'll tell you later. They told you about your concussion, right?"
"Yeah, I think I remember them saying something about that. Honestly, I was kind of out of it when they were talking to me."
They just hung out like that for a bit, not really talking about anything in particular. "So uhh, should we head back to my place?" Sorrow nodded and got up. Or at least, tried to. Almost immediately, he lost balance, overcame with intense vertigo. His vision went blurry as he tried to stay upright, Slazo catching him as he almost completely fell over. "...you sure you can walk?"
"Not.. not anymore, to be completely honest."
Slazo slung Sorrow's arm around his neck, Sorrow blushing at the sudden contact, as he helped him slowly make his way to the car.
