Clem's POV:
It was Halloween night as my boyfriend Gabe and I decided that since we were now too old to go trick or treating, that we might as well go to a haunted house. I was mostly confident and ready until we got right outside the attraction's doors as I suddenly felt a chill go down my spine and now was suddenly scared. "Maybe we shouldn't do this, Gabe." I said trying to convince him to leave. "Oh come on, baby. We can't just back out now. It'll be fun, I promise." He tried to reassure me. "I know it's just that I've never done a hunted house before." I told him as he sensed my fear and wrapped me up in his arms to comfort me. "Don't be scared, Clem. I'll be with you the whole time. I won't leave your side." He said still comforting me. "You better not, dork. Because if this turns into something like Thriller, then I'm gonna slug you." I said as we both laughed and Gabe said, "Got it, my lady." before the two of us then walked in.
Gabe's POV:
Clem and I walked through the haunted house which was in a maze like structure. Clem began to shiver from fear as I don't think I've ever seen her this scared in my life. It kind of makes me feel bad. I'll try and make it up to her once we get out. But I then suddenly felt something pulling me into into another room away from Clem as she looked at me and screamed my name as the door shut, separating us. "CLEM?!" I shouted while banging in the door. I then looked behind me to see a completely different part of the maze that had axes on the walls, fake skeletons, and a performer at the end of the hall who was wearing a mask and holding a chainsaw. "Oh this is cool!" I said a bit nervously as I began to walk toward the other side of the long hall. But as I walked, the axes began to fling themselves off the walls and the skeletons who turned out to be animatronic began firing arrows at me. "Oh shit!" I exclaimed as I ducked down to avoid one of the axes. "Attention to detail, I guess." I said for running as fast as I could down the maze like hallway while avoiding the arrows and axes. I got up to the door as the man holding the chainsaw attempted to attack me but I ducked underneath his chainsaw and pushed my way past him. I opened the door behind him and shut it as fast as I could. "Wow. What a rush. Do you know for a free hunted house attraction, they really went all out. "I said to myself as I then ran towards the exit where I was sure my girlfriend Clementine was waiting for me to get out.
I managed to make it to the exit as I was now outside again. But I became a bit worried that I couldn't see Clem outside. "Clem? Clem?" I kept calling her name out as I didn't get a single answer back. "Oh ha ha. I get it. Baby, I know you're hiding so just come out already so we can go home." I said believing that Clem was trying to scare me. "Clem?" I called out her name again as I was legitimately starting to get scared. "Clem? CLEMENTINE?!" Are you home and I ran back into the haunted house but through a different exit. "Clem?! Clemmy, where are you?!" I called out as yet again, I got no answer. I ran through the attraction until I found her passed out next to a disabled animatronic skeleton. "Clementine!" I said as I ran to her and picked her up bridal style. "Don't worry, baby. I got you." I whispered to her unconscious body as I carried her towards the exit with the man whit the chainsaw chasing us. I busted through the other exit as they ran away with Clementine still in my arms. I stopped running for a moment as her eyes began to flutter open as she awoke. "G...Gabe? What... what happened?" She asked me. "I found you passed out in the haunted house and carried you outside. You had me worried, baby." I told her as she grinned and then smashed her lips into mine. "My hero." She l flirtatiously said as we separated lips. "Let's go home, babydoll." I told her as I put her down and the two of us began to walk back to my house.
(Time Skip: Two Days Later)
Gabe's POV:
Now that Halloween was over, it was now the day if Dia de los muertos as I was about to leave with my family to visit the graveyard before I heard our doorbell ring. "Don't worry, I got it." I said going to the door and opening it to see my beautiful girlfriend Clementine on the other side holding a newspaper. "Oh hi, baby. What's up?" I asked her. "You need to see this." She said letting herself in. "See what?" I asked her as she handed me the newspaper and and simply replied, "This." I looked at the newspaper as it read, "Halloween gone wrong. Five teenagers found dead at 672 Mulberry St. Mass murder has been apprehended." "Wait, so that wasn't a bunch of props? That was a real scary house? And the chainsaw guy was really trying to kill us?!" I asked in disbelief. Yeah, I couldn't believe it either." She replied. "Well thank God we were able to get out." I told her and she just nodded and came with my family and I to the graveyard with the thought of that haunted house being real still lingering in our minds.
