The Commitment

Prologue

"When you thought of becoming somebody's perfect partner, you're starting to believe in a fairy tale.

Yes, there's no perfect relationship, only, when you're with someone you truly love, everything was just around perfect."  <3

But how would you define 'perfect' in the first place?

Is it when you talked over coffee and shared sweet nothings?

Is it when you held each other's hand and never care about what would people say?

Is it the moment your eyes met and drown in that stare?

Is it staying late at night talking endlessly on the phone, said those magic words and bid good night in the end?

Or spending each normal day together and believed that you'll never get tired spending it with him until your last breath?

But...

How did love start anyway?

How did that sparkling glow start to ignite?

How would you know if you're already in love and madly deeply engaged in it?

When is it okay to think that you're falling with the right one?

When is it well enough to be sure that you're falling just at the right time?

When is it alright to trust?? To trust him, and to trust your own feeling as well.

Love takes responsibilities. Obliging two people to partake in it. Above all, love is about commitment.

And there it is. When love comes along, confusions also made its way.

Would you sacrifice your happiness just to hear someone's laughter?

Will you be strong enough to face rejections?

Will you have the courage to accept pains?

Are you willing to forgive? Then forgive again until you permanently engraved 'forgiveness' in your heart??

But what if the relationship might not run smoothly?

Will you still hold on?

Would you be brave to be hurt over and over again?

Will you have the patience to wait until you're both ready for commitment?

Or would you rather reject that affection because of so many uncertainties??

Love is perplexing. It would take a brave heart to endure the pain and a strong mind to withstand your choices. But to loved and be loved in return is one of the greatest feelings in this world. And just merely thinking how you loved each other is already beyond perfection.
